The role addresses rescission requests, post-closing compliance, loan transaction reviews, remediation, and regulatory risk for mortgage lending operations.

Provides strategic oversight of mortgage post-closing suspense and compliance issue management. Leads risk-based issue identification, escalation, remediation, root-cause analysis, corrective action validation, regulatory examination support, reporting, and continuous process improvement. Partners across compliance, regulatory change management, quality control, internal audit, and operations to strengthen the Compliance Management System and prevent recurring deficiencies.

Leads infrastructure engineering strategy, modernization, project delivery, automation, and operational readiness across hybrid AWS, Azure, on-premises, networking, identity, Microsoft 365, and endpoint platforms. Establishes engineering standards, architecture patterns, security and resilience practices, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring, documentation, and support handoffs. Manages infrastructure projects, vendors, budgets, risks, and executive communications while leading, coaching, and developing an infrastructure engineering team.

Manages the Bond Post Closing Team, overseeing loan pipelines, aged loans, escalations, investor rebuttals, MCC and bond program compliance, staff performance, training, and process improvements. The role interprets federal, state, and investor requirements, maintains condition sets and training materials, analyzes defects and trends, resolves complex post-closing issues, and collaborates with internal departments and bond investors.

Coordinates user acceptance testing for technical updates, serving as liaison among technology teams, stakeholders, and vendors. Develops test plans and cases, tracks defects in JIRA, validates production changes, communicates testing outcomes, and supports process improvements, training materials, audits, and company announcements. Ensures solutions meet business requirements, compliance expectations, and user needs within established SLAs.

Recruit and strategically develop Loan Officers, Mortgage Bankers, Branch Managers, and Sales Leaders across targeted markets. Partner with senior leaders and hiring managers to identify hiring needs, source passive candidates through Boolean searches, cold calls, networking, databases, and internet research, and manage candidates through qualification, interviews, and hiring. Track recruiting metrics, maintain candidate relationships, meet hiring goals, and provide regular pipeline and progress reports to recruiting and sales leadership.

Drives recruitment closing and conversion for experienced, high-producing Mortgage Loan Officers and teams. Owns late-stage candidate engagement, customized offer presentation, negotiation, offer acceptance, and onboarding transition. Partners with leadership and recruiting teams, uses mortgage production data and market intelligence to develop closing strategies, address candidate concerns, track conversion metrics, and influence hiring outcomes in a competitive mortgage lending environment.

Coordinates resolution of investor-identified loan conditions after closing. Reviews loan files, researches suspense items, obtains and uploads corrective documentation, communicates with investors, clients, and internal departments, and monitors loan pipelines for timely purchase. Maintains knowledge of agency and investor guidelines, identifies salability and warehouse-line risks, prepares post-consummation disclosures and refund checks, and tracks condition status through investor sites and the loan origination system.

Provide legal interpretation and guidance on mortgage fees, disclosures, documents, and vendor integrations. Translate regulatory requirements into actionable business and testing requirements, review system configurations and document outputs for compliance, conduct legal research, document decisions, and partner with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and vendors to resolve issues and support implementations.

Provide income calculations and reviews for Non-QM wholesale loans, interpret and apply investor guidelines, analyze complex tax and financial documents, support loan officers via ticketing/phone/email, create technical documentation and training, and ensure risk, compliance, and underwriting standards are met.

Provide legal counsel and manage responses to federal and state regulatory examinations, audits, and information requests. Coordinate documentation, track findings and remediation, update policies, and advise senior leadership on examination strategy and compliance matters.
