Design, build, operate, and scale highly available Kubernetes-based cloud and container platforms across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Diagnose reliability and performance issues, deploy applications, automate infrastructure maintenance, manage cloud access, and improve platform operations. The role also requires cross-functional project leadership, distributed-team collaboration, monitoring, CI/CD, GitOps, on-call support, and effective use of AI tooling.

Write robust, modular code, optimize performance, participate in code reviews and documentation, and collaborate across technical and product teams. The role requires strong HTTP and networking knowledge, Linux, automation, shell scripting, and backend operations experience. Engineers participate in core US business hours and an on-call rotation, with occasional travel as needed.

Leads end-to-end execution of large-scale global network infrastructure programs, including site builds, augments, and decommissioning. Coordinates Network Operations, Supply Chain, data center, Finance, Legal, and engineering teams; manages deployment plans, reporting, risks, vendors, capacity planning, and hardware lifecycles. The role also drives process standardization, automation, incident and post-mortem improvements, and translates technical requirements into actionable roadmaps.

Design, implement, and maintain services that store and deploy Fastly's network configuration. Build features for infrastructure provisioning and fleet scaling, improve CI/CD and testing, write performant maintainable code, and mentor other engineers while collaborating with operations and infrastructure teams.

Drive new enterprise logos and revenue through full sales cycle ownership: prospecting, discovery, qualification, negotiation, closing, and account management. Build territory plans, deliver technical value propositions and demos, coordinate POCs, forecast in Salesforce, and accelerate customer adoption. Collaborate with Sales Management and Deal Desk to prepare proposals and ensure customer satisfaction while meeting quarterly bookings and quota targets.

Design and operate secure, scalable CIAM services for authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and profile management. Lead complex technical initiatives, guide architecture across teams, improve reliability and security, and establish standards-based identity practices. Partner with engineering, product, and security teams, mentor engineers, document technical decisions, and participate in on-call support.

Lead go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning for Fastly's security portfolio (WAF, DDoS, Bot Management, TLS). Drive product launches, sales enablement, competitive differentiation, compliance messaging, cross-sell narratives, content and campaigns, and public product evangelism in partnership with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.

Lead day-to-day order management and contract-to-CRM validation for signed deals, ensure data completeness and accuracy, clear exceptions, drive month/quarter-end readiness, partner cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, Billing, and Revenue Accounting, and design process improvements, controls, and documentation to support accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.

Lead strategy and roadmap for Fastly runtimes (Compute and VCL), scale and expand execution models, define runtime primitives for AI-era workloads, align engineering and go-to-market, and drive cross-functional decisions to production.

Provision and deploy network devices, servers, and infrastructure for global POPs using automation (Ansible, Chef, Git). Troubleshoot provisioning issues, collaborate with hardware and operations teams, improve standards and tooling, and support post-deployment validation and handoff to Network Operations.

Build and scale a partner-led sales engine for VARs/MSPs/SIs. Own partner-sourced pipeline, new bookings, and partner engagement. Drive co-selling, enablement, co-marketing, and operational improvements while providing technical and commercial support.

Lead market narrative, positioning, and GTM for Fastly's AI initiatives. Drive launches, sales enablement, analyst relations, buyer insights, competitive intelligence, and cross-portfolio AI storytelling to increase adoption of edge AI, inference, and developer-facing AI capabilities.

Lead and grow a team building distributed container infrastructure at the edge. Define multi-year technical roadmap, drive cross-functional collaboration, ensure low-latency/high-availability secure delivery, contribute technically, and own operational excellence and on-call support for a geographically distributed fleet of resource-constrained nodes.
