The Key Account Representative is a strategic role tasked with targeting and growing our Top 150 Districts across the country. You will own Key Account clients and a book of 25+ prospective Key Accounts within your territory. You will develop deep, meaningful connections with District stakeholders and decision makers creating true business relationships to become a trusted partner. The ideal candidate will understand the complexities of navigating the 150+ Largest Districts political climates and conflicting departmental goals. You have had success mapping customer needs and goals to product offerings and get to yes by creating value for their clients. You will understand how to map the Newsela product offering to District needs and create value for their buyers that will unlock pilots and expansion opportunities within these key high revenue Districts.

Your work will directly enable the business to strengthen our footprint, bringing our products schools nationwide and providing time-saving approaches that allow educators to design customized learning for different levels of learners. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be a key teammate responsible for helping make effective, analytically driven decisions for our Product team to build the best products for our teachers, students, and school administrators. Collaborating with other data team members and product managers, you will develop an intimate knowledge of our databases and work with our data warehousing and Looker developers to design the best tables to achieve the best visual outcomes. You’ll architect insightful, visually concise dashboards and reporting to drive the most informed, effective decisions for our product development.

The Director of Data Science is responsible for managing our team of data scientists and analysts. In this role, you will be a true partner to our Go-To-Market leadership team. You will provide data science expertise to projects and drive delivery of solutions. This team uses data-driven methods to power decisions, inform strategy, build robust data models, and identify opportunities to uncover insights about our customers. Your team will stay on top of challenges occurring in the business and will be able to anticipate the future data needs of the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll lead your team to drive value by delivering insightful, intuitive data products. 

The Marketing Program Manager, Small Market Business (SMB) will work with our marketing programs, corporate marketing, field marketing and agency partners to deliver marketing campaigns, within budget and on schedule, designed to drive conversions and renewals within our small and medium business market. You will manage marketing program planning and execution, and will closely monitor and optimize campaign performance in order to set and achieve our quarterly KPIs, that span the full SMB customer lifecycle from pre-sale to post-sale. You’ll play a key role in building and maturing a new eCommerce path to purchase and go to market strategy for our SMB audience, working cross-functionally with teams inside and outside of marketing.

In your day to day, you will do everything from pipeline management and forecasting, to designing strategic account plans and managing sales through the entire lifecycle. You will also become well-versed in your territory’s funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape, which will help inform your overall sales strategy. This is a remote role; you’ll work from your home “office” and travel about up to 20% of the time in the Southeast region.

You will be part of a regional sales team and the overall face of Newsela out in the market. As a Growth Sales Rep, you will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with key decision makers at the school district level across our existing Customer Base. You will implement a strategy aimed at growing our customer revenue base by identifying upsell and expansion opportunities to bring engaging reading content to schools district-wide. In your day to day, you will do everything from pipeline management and forecasting, to designing strategic account plans and managing sales through the entire lifecycle. You will also become well-versed in your territory’s funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape, which will help inform your overall sales strategy. This is a remote role; you’ll work from your home “office” and travel about up to 20% of the time in the Central (Texas or Oklahoma) region.

You will also become well-versed in your territory’s funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape, which will help inform your overall sales strategy.

The Growth Sales Program Manager will lead the charge in building strategy and programs to support Newsela’s sales targets. You will work closely with our Chief Customer Success Officer, customer support team, and team of regional sales managers to build state-specific, regional, and national growth strategy programs that support pipeline growth. You’ll be an expert on the K-12 education market, drawing on your understanding of funding, state initiatives, demographics, standards of adoption, and the overall K-12 education landscape to work with our Marketing team to develop and manage state- and school district-level action plans that enable our sales reps to achieve their territory quota. You’ll also work closely with our sales organization to refine our forecasting and reporting, focusing on accountability and enhancing our predictive sales models.

You are a strategic, operationally-minded leader with experience designing, building, and scaling Support teams within a fast-growing company. In addition to growing and mentoring your full-time team, you may have experience hiring and managing a team of seasonal support. You are well versed in metrics to track and improve Support operations, and you have experience using Salesforce’s Service Cloud and/or Zendesk to manage your teams. You are comfortable working across departments to advocate for the customer, pulling on data to drive improvements to the overall customer experience. You thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous, ever-changing environment, and love leading teams through growth periods.

The Vice President of Product will champion the strategy, execution, and revenue growth for Newsela’s platform and content products, helping achieve and maintain high levels of engagement and business growth. Reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, you will build, lead, manage, and mentor a team of product managers. You will translate the business strategy and vision from our leadership team into execution-ready product strategy for your team, and will partner with leaders across Newsela to ensure we’re achieving our vision cohesively, effectively, and in a way that creates confidence in our ability to deliver high engagement product experiences that customers purchase. You’ll serve as a key leader driving our product roadmap and delivery, and will ensure the ongoing health and quality of our content and platform products.

The Marketing Operations Director is a core member of our marketing leadership team and will be responsible for all aspects of marketing performance management, technology, operations, and process. With the goal of optimization, you’ll standardize our operations by defining, documenting, governing, and streamlining our marketing processes. As the owner of our marketing data, you will manage data collection, reporting, and refinement to align with our overall business goals. You’ll also manage marketing budgets and inform strategic planning at the department and company levels. You will develop, implement, and maintain the technology stack required to support marketing strategies, working closely with Sales Operations to ensure sales system interoperability. Partnering with Business Intelligence and Data Science teams, you will define marketing performance metrics, deliver dashboards, provide actionable performance insights, and steer the development of lead scoring and propensity models that will be instrumental in achieving Newsela’s business goals. You’ll also be partnering closely with the Chief Customer Success Officer, VP of Sales and Sales Operations team to build a pipeline management practice that spans all demand sources and market segments, establishing the metrics, processes, roles & responsibilities, SLAs and actionable insights that ensure Newsela is achieving its overall pipeline objectives.

The UX Design Manager will lead and develop design strategies to deliver the highest quality experiences for Newsela’s users: students, teachers, and school administrators. You will work with designers and stakeholders across departments to help identify and solve problems to build successful and delightful products. You’ll leverage user research and analytics to illuminate key focus areas for your team, and will develop design principles, frameworks, and processes that not only inspire your team but move metrics. You’ll be a user advocate within Product, and will also influence market-facing teams to prioritize top problems our users are facing within their domains.
