The Software Engineer, Backend will develop scalable distributed systems, build REST APIs, and ensure high-quality software delivery while collaborating with teammates and stakeholders.

Own and evolve Opto's AWS infrastructure and EKS lifecycle, manage Terraform IaC at scale, support multi-account networking and data governance, partner with Security/Compliance for audit readiness, scale platform reliability, and coordinate hosted infrastructure for stakeholders.

Manage quarterly NAV close and financial statements, reconciliations, valuation governance, audit and tax coordination. Support capital call/distribution processing, waterfall and carried interest calculations, performance metrics, and implement accounting policies and controls while partnering with product, engineering, and operations to automate processes and scale fund finance operations.
