Build production-grade AI agents, integrations, data pipelines, and infrastructure directly within strategic customers’ environments. Own technical delivery from design through production deployment and handoff, collaborate closely with customer engineering teams, document and train users, and communicate recurring implementation needs to Product and Engineering. The role requires customer-site deployment experience, strong backend engineering depth, integration experience, and the ability to work effectively in unfamiliar codebases and constrained environments.

Leads a cloud engineering team responsible for Redpanda Cloud, BYOC, Serverless, and Agentic Data Plane initiatives. Owns roadmap delivery, operational excellence, incident response, SLOs, and day-two operations while partnering with Product and customer-facing teams. Coaches, develops, hires, and retains engineers; translates product priorities into engineering plans; manages risks and dependencies; and drives reliable, high-quality launches across distributed cloud services.

The Solutions Engineer partners with sales to qualify and close opportunities, deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations, lead proof-of-concepts, prototype integrations, and address customer objections. The role collaborates with product, engineering, and support teams to solve customer challenges and improve adoption. Candidates should understand streaming infrastructure, Kafka, Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, and be willing to travel for customer meetings and events.
