Entry-level newsroom fellow supporting video production across Semafor verticals: administrative tasks, research, producing and editing social videos, scripting with reporters, and assisting live events and post-production to publish timely clips.

Lead packaging, clipping, and distribution of Semafor journalism across social and digital platforms. Identify high-value moments, create platform-native copy and short-form video, publish and optimize content, support event live-posting and promotional campaigns, and collaborate with newsroom, video, audio, and audience teams to grow reach while maintaining editorial standards.

Provide white-glove executive engagement and logistics support for flagship live journalism events. Serve as primary liaison to C-suite and government participants, coordinate schedules and on-site agendas, maintain tracking and briefings, advise on programming and speaker alignment, and staff events as on-site point of contact. Collaborate with editorial, content, and events teams and respond promptly to executive communications.

Senior Creative Strategists at Semafor develop media strategies and proposals, collaborate with teams, and engage clients to drive revenue and enhance brand narratives.

Provide executive-level administrative support to the Chief Commercial Officer and Sales team while managing daily office operations, event coordination, project follow-up, travel and expense arrangements, stakeholder communication, CRM maintenance, and special projects to ensure organizational priorities are executed.

Lead HR operations and office management, owning onboarding/offboarding, HR systems (Rippling, ChartHop, Greenhouse), policy and recordkeeping, PTO administration, reporting, and process improvements. Partner with Finance and IT for system alignment and device provisioning. Manage NYC office move end-to-end, run day-to-day office operations, coordinate vendors and facilities, and support people programs, events, and cross-functional initiatives.

Own month-end close, prepare/post GAAP journal entries, perform account reconciliations, manage intercompany transactions, review general ledger coding, support AP tasks, partner with FP&A on analysis, strengthen controls, assist audits, and implement process improvements in a fast-paced media environment.

Lead Semafor's design function and visual identity, integrating brand, product, and editorial design across platforms. Oversee creative direction and team development.

Lead product strategy and execution for internal platforms, build a unified event operating system, and deliver hands-on tooling and integrations. Prototype and configure tools (Airtable, APIs), apply AI/automation (LLMs, agents) to operational problems, and partner with engineering, data, and cross-functional teams to prioritize and ship solutions that streamline workflows.

Lead client and partner relationships as trusted advisor (often C-suite), manage integrated client programs end-to-end, act as primary post-sale contact, ensure clear communication and on‑time deliverables, and support domestic and international travel and flexible hours.

Design and iterate user-focused news products in partnership with Product, Editorial, and Engineering. Build production-ready visual and interaction designs, contribute to design systems and brand guidelines, support marketing assets, mentor collaborators, and help shape Semafor’s design culture while balancing technical feasibility and usability.

Lead guest strategy, targeting, and outreach for invitation-only executive roundtables. Curate C-suite attendees, manage RSVP flow and composition health, draft senior-level communications, maintain Airtable tracking, prepare briefings, coordinate with editorial/revenue/operations, and support on-site summit execution.

Cover and break agenda-setting stories on private markets, hedge funds, banking, and M&A. Produce reported columns and analytical pieces, develop deep senior-level Wall Street sources, expand Semafor's daily business briefing, and represent the outlet on TV, podcasts, and live events.

The role requires a Tech Reporter to cover the business of tech, focusing on AI, and uncovering stories related to money, power, and political influences in the industry. The reporter will build high-level sources, produce analytical pieces, and collaborate across various sections to provide insights and breaking news.
