Position Overview
The Operations Manager, managed by the school-based Director of Operations, will have the responsibility of leading the day-to-day logistics of the school.The Operations Manager also works with the Director of Operations to manage the Operations Team. As the Director of Operations leads the vision of the team, it is the job of the Operations Manager to execute that vision. 

Core Competencies & Responsibilities
Supports the Director of Operations in creating and managing systems for inventory, records management, accountability, procurement, and key school logistics

  • Responsible for site-level purchasing of supplies, materials, and equipment while playing a key role in procurement and inventory management 
  • Oversees the implementation of transportation, food services, facilities maintenance, security, and other third-party vendor contracts. 
  • Promotes and maintains a positive and efficient school environment by ensuring that all interactions with stakeholders are prompt, helpful, and friendly
  • Manages front office, providing initial support to family and staff inquiries
  • Works with school personnel to maintain integrity and accuracy of student records, including the maintenance of our student information systems (i.e., ATS, PowerSchool, Schoolmint), as well as complying with student privacy laws (FERPA), labor laws, or health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA compliance)
  • Leads emergency preparedness (e.g., fire drills, evacuation procedures) and risk management (e.g., managing insurance or liability concerns).
  • Plays a key role in the enrollment process and assists in meeting network enrollment targets
  • Ensures that key compliance requirements are met in collaboration with the Director of Operations, including school surveys, key city/state report completion, long-term operational planning, or providing data-driven insights and reports to the Director of Operations for decision-making
  • Manages and coordinates operations team members and the facilities team to ensure the cleanliness of our school facility and surrounding areas
  • In conjunction with our IT vendor, supports the technological needs of our schools, including computer inventory, ticket monitoring, and basic troubleshooting
  • Collaborates with other school leaders, teachers, and community members to foster a cohesive school environment
  • Leads logistics for school-wide events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, or school celebrations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in an office environment; education experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong desire to be part of a team changing the educational discourse
  • Bilingual preferred given our current student demographics
