The Spectrum Internship Experience
You'll join one of our departments for the summer, where you'll contribute to meaningful projects that give you insight into what it's like to work at a leading connectivity company. You'll have access to:

What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams - your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
  • Intern will work on Quality assurance activities including but not limited to Test Case creation, Test Case execution, Defect Management, Testing Automation, Understanding business requirements
  • QA creates tests to find any problems with software before the product is launched
  • They identify and analyze any bugs found during testing and document them
  • They also must pay very close attention to detail and manage testing tools, reporting results, and motivating process improvement
  • A normal work day for a QA includes developing new tests to run, running the tests, and documenting the results; if any defects are noted the quality assurance analysts will need to collaborate with the software developers to find a fix and patch the program
  • Once the defect has been patched, they will need to run the test again to make sure there are no new bugs and to make sure the defect found has been corrected

Required qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor's degree between December 2026 - May 2027
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications
  • Oracle SQL query skills
  • Any programming language like Java/Python
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of how LLM's are used
