As a UI/UX engineer intern, you’ll contribute to real-world features fora production system where your design choices directly affect how traders process millions in daily flow. You'll ship real UI that our users depend on—and you'll receive feedback and be able to gauge impact right away.

About the UI/UX Engineer Internship
The UI/UX Internship at Point72 provides individuals interested in pursuing a career in technology at an investment firm with a valuable, hands-on experience. During the program, you will gain exposure to:

  • Reshaping and building the front-end of a real-time trading platform used daily by traders and operations teams
  • Owning UX decisions end-to-end—from wireframes and mockups to production React code—consolidating complex, data-dense interfaces into clean, intuitive layouts
  • Utilizing C# / .NET to shape the APIs that powers designs
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business goals and processes
  • Documenting and presenting design decisions, code, and functionalities to team members and stakeholders
  • Interacting with senior-level professionals
  • The fast-paced, competitive hedge fund world and industry best practices

Summer Internship Program at Point72
In addition to the learning and development you’ll receive in your day-to-day role with your team, as a part of our summer internship program you will:

What’s required

  • Expected bachelor’s degree between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Experience with React and TypeScript
  • Strong visual instinct—you notice when spacing, alignment, or hierarchy feels off
  • Comfort working across the stack when a feature demands it
  • Ability to articulate design trade-offs, not just implement them
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the team
  • Ability and willingness to conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity at all times
