Engineering – Production Services Practice

With our Follow the Sun philosophy, Production Services is "Always On" for our clients. We deliver a full IT Service Management lifecycle across applications and infrastructure support to provide a controlled and secure production environment. We ensure our operating model is aligned to the Platforms we support, with a focus on winning over new clients and ensuring existing customers receive the highest quality of service through:

  • Automation, alerting, monitoring, operational efficiency, and stability.
  • Evaluation of opportunities to improve application performance.
  • Identifying application gaps, improvements, and opportunities by monitoring the production environment.
  • Engineering solutions that improve app performance, increase resiliency and reduce risk.
  • Growing our Engineering mindset to build these principles into the SSSDLC. 
     

Preferred Skills:

  • Keen interest in problem solving and tackling new technology challenges; quick thinking and results focused.
  • Knowledge and usage of AI tools like Windsurf and Claude.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and balance multiple tasks by effectively organizing the workload.
  • Ability to work as part of a global, cross-functional team, including flexibility to support multiple locations when necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Keen interest in industry best practices and a commitment to staying updated on the latest trends and technologies. 

What you will do

  • Support the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications and technology platforms in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute work, resolve issues, and support both short-term fixes and long-term improvements.
  • Leverage AI and other toolsets to monitor production health, analyze trends and performance data, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and support activities while building knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.

Summer Internship Program
 
The BNY Summer Internship Program offers high-potential students a dynamic 10-week experience designed to accelerate development, build professional networks, and provide meaningful exposure to one of the world's leading financial services institutions. Through a skills-driven talent model, interns gain insight into the capabilities, platforms, and functions that power BNY's global franchise while contributing to impactful business initiatives.

From day one, interns are immersed in BNY's collaborative and innovative culture through:

  • Enterprise-wide onboarding and development programming, including an in person immersive induction experience, executive speaker series, skill development, and networking opportunities.
  • Meaningful project work aligned to key business practices and platforms, providing hands-on experience, skill development, and real-world business impact.

Program eligibility:

  • Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred
  • Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)  
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better    
  • Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.  

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $80,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team.
