Our Sales teams engage investors and their representatives to identify investment needs and explore ways in which LAM is positioned to meet those needs. There are several departments within Sales including: Private Clients, Financial Institutions, and Institutional Clients.

Our hands-on, 10-week internship is designed as a Summer Associate program between interns' junior and senior year, who are pursuing a career in Sales. You'll establish a deep understand of how our Institutional Client Group work clients in the Americas through industry-leading products, advice and service. In addition to role-specific training, interns also receive mentorship, engage in networking and volunteer opportunities, and benefit from employee resource groups such as LEAD, focused on the development of future leaders through training, internal mobility, and philanthropy. The summer internship concludes with a final capstone project in which interns present an innovative sales pitch or a white paper on an interesting industry topic. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • This program is open to rising undergraduate seniors only. You must be graduating in 2028!
  • Ability to start an internship June 7, 2027, and end August 13, 2027
  • Ability to be in NYC for the duration of the internship
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship 

 

We’ll trust you to:

 

  • Work with the Institutional Client Group sales reps and associate to best understand LAM's diverse client base and strategic products sold within a channel
  • Research major trends within the industry to drive sales channel business
  • Prioritize extensive potential prospects list based on firm strengths and client needs
  • Work alongside Institutional Client Group associate to complete client requests
  • Use various internal and external research tools to conduct analyses further deepening client relationships
  • Update presentations for portfolio managers and sales representatives
  • Conduct competitive analysis based on qualitative and quantitative metrics 

Our firm is made up of motivated, intellectually curious leaders. We are looking for undergraduates with demonstrated interest in investment management, and passion for sales and relationship management. 

You'll need to have:

  • Consistent academic achievement 
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment 
  • Passion for markets and investing
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills (written and oral) 
  • Intellectually curious and willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Intermediate use of Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Familiarity or experience with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar)

Compensation: Pro-rated base annual salary of $85,000
