About the role

Our team is seeking an Account Director with healthcare, client experience, to serve as a senior counselor to our clients. As a Director, you will be expected to develop and execute strategic integrated communications programs that deliver results. You will be responsible for driving overall strategy and advising healthcare clients and account teams on new initiatives. You will be a conceptual thinker with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.


Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage account team implementation of agreed-upon programs, ensuring quality standards are met and desired results are delivered on-budget
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure precise project execution, guaranteeing adherence to processes and regulatory requirements
  • Lead project management initiatives
  • Manage event and activation logistics in a variety of settings
  • Assist in financial management for clients, including monthly budget exercises and development of invoices
  • Meet challenging deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to flawless execution to consistently exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the delivery of programs.
  • Thoroughly grasp clients, industry dynamics, competitors, key drivers, and the evolving business environment.
  • Diligently search for opportunities to enhance our clients’ business outcomes, persistently striving to deliver exceptional value
  • Precisely articulate clients’ brand objectives, ensuring they seamlessly integrate into our strategic recommendations.
  • Play an integral role in shaping the account plan for each client, contributing valuable insights and strategic direction.
  • Identify training and development needs of junior staff and provide opportunities that enable staff members to reach their full potential

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 6+ years client services experience in the healthcare communications industry, ideally within a comparable agency.
  • Understanding of integrated agency teams (Earned Media, Social, Partnerships, Creative).
  • Ability to lead/manage multiple clients and programs (gaining clarity on changes/markups and communicating back to internal teams effectively).
  • Comfortable managing $2M+ in client business.
  • Setup, lead and run client meetings, provide follow-up and recap notes.
  • In partnership with Project Management, review and create scopes of work.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Full understanding of marketing communications and regulations of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
  • Can promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational functions.

NYC Salary range: $115,000 - $135,000
