Job Description

AZIONE, an award-winning agency, seeks an experienced candidate to join as an Account Director or Vice President. The ideal candidate should possess 8-10 years of PR agency experience with a diverse portfolio of lifestyle brands and strong industry contacts. Experience with innovative startups is a plus. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Client Relationships & Growth

  • Works in collaboration with the Managing Director, EVP, and VP to build and deliver client development plans, to solidify and grow AZIONE’s scope of work and service set with clients, translating into organic growth.
  • Acts as a source of inspiration to clients, bringing expertise, knowledge, and experience to all conversations, initiatives, and projects.
  • Ensures all accounts are in good standing
  • Acts as senior client lead, communicating and collaborating with clients, spearheading larger editorial/thought leadership opportunities, talent/influencer partnerships, and brand collaborations
  • Leads in-person meetings and calls with client in partnership with mid-level team
  • Attends 1:1 media briefings with clients as needed (i.e. interviews, desksides, press previews, event activations, and more) 

 

Strategic Thinking 

  • Actively pitches across client priorities to consistently secure business + brand features, ad trade stories, executive profiles, podcasts, and trend stories to articulate marketplace differentiation and reach key stakeholders
  • Conceptualizes and executes 360-degree integrated PR campaigns as an extension of clients’ in-house marketing teams, inclusive of business + lifestyle media relations, influencer engagement, brand partnerships, and experiential activations, meeting OKRS (when applicable)
    • Oversee cadence of media coverage, messaging, and press material development, ensuring all are in line with the client's overall strategy and brand guidelines
    • Oversee and execute business communications strategies, including fundraising announcements, mergers + acquisitions, executive leadership transitions, and more
    • Draft higher level scopes of work, pitches, press releases, and talking points as needed

 

Excellence in Delivery

  • Maintains and continuously grows network of powerful “turnkey” media relationships
  • Stays apprised of new technologies and business trends, affiliate platforms, social media trends, and more, assessing brand relevance and strategic use
  • Continuously stays up-to-date on best practices relating to reporting to underscore qualitative and quantitative ROI and impact of executed campaigns 
  • Acts as the final set of eyes on all client and press-facing materials for quality assurance and excellence 
  • Anticipates and proactively offers solutions for issues specific to assigned clients/initiatives

 

Leadership

  • Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and appropriate conduct at all times, setting an example for the team.
  • Mentors, leads, and inspires both portfolio division and individual account teams effectively and responsibly to manage situations with a positive outcome
  • At a brand level, demonstrates accountability for client success by clearly defining account team roles and responsibilities, providing coaching, guidance, and tools to facilitate goal achievement 
  • Contributes to building a positive culture for the team and broader studio
  • Displays integrity, honesty, reliability, responsiveness and openness to be trusted by clients and internal teams

 

To be considered: 

You should have 8-10 years of relevant professional experience and possess strong problem-solving skills with a creative mindset. 
You must be located in either Los Angeles or New York. Our New York team operates on a hybrid office schedule, while our Los Angeles team works fully remotely.
Benefits:
Salary range $115,000 - 130,000 (based on experience).
