The Account Manager, Sales leads revenue generation and business acquisition for a portfolio of named accounts within the data center sector. This role serves as the primary commercial contact for clients, overseeing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure and operational handover. The position requires frequent collaboration with internal teams such as marketing, legal, finance, and global sales, as well as regular engagement with customer stakeholders at all levels, including the C-suite. Significant travel and participation in industry events are expected, supporting both regional and global account planning and budgetary processes.
The Account Manager is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients to ensure revenue protection and satisfaction. The role involves managing the full sales process, including lead generation, solution development, negotiation, and contract finalization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to align sales strategies with broader business objectives and to deliver tailored solutions to clients. The Account Manager must also contribute to account planning and budgeting activities, providing insights and recommendations for growth. Regular interaction with client stakeholders is required to understand their needs and drive consultative sales. The position demands proactive business development and a strong hunter mentality, with a focus on both large international deals and SME-level engagements.
Bachelors or Masters degree in business, marketing, or related fields, 7-10 years sales experience in data center, IT, telecommunications, or network industry, Proven track record of winning large, complex international and SME-level deals, Experience with fast-growing start-ups or multinational organizations, Excellent English proficiency (written and verbal), Willingness and ability to travel frequently, Deep industry knowledge and consultative selling skills, Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
