About the Team  
 
Edelman's Crisis & Risk Specialty supports organizations in preventing, preparing for, and responding to reputational crises in a data-driven, integrated, and digital-first approach. The team, comprised of experts in areas such as litigation, security, and digital strategy, works with a global network of specialists to provide strategic counsel and response across a range of issues, from cybersecurity and data privacy to brand protection and disinformation. 

The role  
  
The Account Executive position is within our Crisis & Risk Specialty team.  The successful candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a variety of team members of all levels. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, fulfill assignments and manage multiple deadlines. Excellent attention to detail, a passion for the news, media and communications, and enthusiasm for supporting the delivery of successful results for clients are essential.  

Responsibilities:

  • The Account Executive must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing 
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a matrix structure  
  • Ability to work calmly, accurately, and efficiently under multiple deadlines, often with short lead-times 
  • Ability to develop relationships with media and apply experience and initiative in developing traditional and digital media relations strategies  
  • Enthusiasm and energy for communications and delivering great client work 
  • Ability to conduct accurate, detailed research and analysis across digital and social media, strong communication skills, both written and verbal; able to articulate point of view 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, tenacity, and organization and planning skills  
  • Champion the responsible use of AI in client work, helping to pilot new tools, optimize workflows and train junior team members on best practices and guardrails
