The Role & Team:

Business Insider, the influential global business journalism brand, is seeking a strategic, curious, and driven Account Executive to lead relationships across some of our tech, telecom, electronics and gaming partners.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and working collaboratively to turn ideas into meaningful partnerships. The portfolio is focused on high-potential accounts with significant room to grow, offering the chance to shape new relationships and expand existing ones across video, CTV, events, custom storytelling, and emerging formats.

The Account Executive reports directly to the Managing Director, Growth Tech and sits on the Growth Tech Vertical within the Revenue organization. This position is open to candidates located in either NYC or San Francisco. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead both day-to-day and long-term relationships with technology, telecom, electronics, and gaming brands, translating business objectives into thoughtful, high-performing marketing programs
  • Develop and present full-funnel solutions across Business Insider’s suite of offerings, including branded content, video, programmatic, data-driven media, and events
  • Manage a portfolio that includes both established and emerging accounts, with the support and runway to grow relationships over time
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Studios, Media Planning, and Client Services to bring ideas to life and deliver on execution
  • Serve as a true partner to clients, advising, educating, and problem-solving to help them innovate and succeed in the market
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline, forecasting, and performance tracking with consistency and accuracy
  • Act as an ambassador for Business Insider both internally and externally showing up with energy, professionalism, and insight
  • Hit or exceed revenue targets, and help shape the future of how Business Insider shows up in the tech space

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital advertising sales, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Deep knowledge of the tech landscape, with existing client and agency relationships preferred
  • Comfort discussing both branded storytelling and data-driven media strategies, with familiarity across programmatic solutions
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
  • Passionate about storytelling, media, innovation, and helping clients win
  • Proven ability to develop strategic account plans and manage complex sales cycles

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $130,000 - $150,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
  • Additional commission
