About the Role
American Global is seeking an experienced Project Risk Advisor to join our Project Risk Advisory team in Whippany, NJ, Jericho, NY, or Atlanta, GA. This client-facing role focuses on the design, implementation, and execution of project-specific insurance programs (OCIPs/CCIPs) for leading construction and development clients across the U.S.
The ideal candidate combines technical expertise and client advisory experience, managing complex risk programs while building strong client relationships.
The position reports directly to the President of Project Risk and follows a hybrid schedule (4 days in-office / 1 day remote).
Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead and support the design and administration of project-specific insurance programs (wrap-ups, OCIPs, CCIPs).
- Collaborate with brokers and underwriters to structure and implement optimal coverage programs.
- Analyze project exposures, loss data, and contracts to inform program design.
- Manage program delivery and compliance – enrollments, documentation, claims coordination, and reporting.
- Serve as a primary client contact ensuring proactive communication and timely program updates.
- Support development of risk analytics, dashboards, and internal process improvements.
- Contribute to new initiatives enhancing American Global’s Project Solutions service model.
Skills & Experience That Lead to Success:
- Minimum 5 to 10+ years of experience in construction risk management, project insurance, or brokerage.
- Deep understanding of OCIP/CCIP structures, construction exposures, and contractual risk management.
- Proven client-facing ability and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and communication skillss.
Additional/Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with platforms such as Origami, Procore, or SmartPM.
- Bachelor’s degree required; ARM, CPCU, or CRIS designation.
