The Role

We're looking for an Account Executive who knows the diamond trade from the inside and can sell technology to people who've never needed it before. Your job is to open, grow, and close accounts -driving platform adoption and trading volume with U.S. wholesalers, retailers, and buying groups.

This is a full-cycle sales role: you'll prospect, demo, negotiate, close. 

You'll be measured on subscriptions, active trading volume, and pipeline hygiene -not on title or tenure

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospect → discovery → demo → proposal → close → reorder
  • Drive platform adoption and subscription growth across your U.S. account portfolio
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline in CRM; manage follow-ups with discipline
  • Conduct discovery calls and platform demos tailored to each account's buying behavior and inventory needs
  • Identify upselling and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Represent UNI at trade shows, and buying group events
  • Report on pipeline, conversion rates, and GMV contribution to sales leadership
  • Feed market intelligence (pricing trends, buyer sentiment, competitive dynamics) back to the product and leadership teams

Must Have

  • 3-7 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2 years in the diamond or fine jewelry trade
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a full-cycle sales role
  • Comfortable selling technology or data products to traditional trade buyers
  • CRM discipline - you log everything, your pipeline is clean, your forecast is real
  • Ability to run a structured discovery call and a product demo
  • High integrity - your reputation in trade is something you protect

Nice to Have

  • Strong existing relationships with U.S. wholesalers, retailers, or buying group members (RJO, IJO, CBG or equivalent)
  • GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) or equivalent certification
  • Experience at a diamond-tech platform: Rapaport / RapNet, VDB, Nivoda, or similar
  • Familiarity with natural polished diamond pricing, grading, and U.S. retail buying cycles
  • Experience selling SaaS, B2B marketplace, or data subscriptions

What to Expect

      Full-time, NYC-based -on-site with regular domestic travel and occasional international travel

      Base salary: $70,000 – $100,000 depending on experience
