Prominence Advisors is actively seeking an Account Executive to join our team.

As an Account Executive, you will be the long-term quarterback of some of Prominence's most important healthcare relationships. You'll inherit a book of established accounts and be accountable for named-account ownership, expansion revenue, and strategic account planning across a blended portfolio spanning Strategic, Growth, and Transactional accounts. This is a revenue-focused account management role. You'll sell Prominence's Epic Services and Analytics solutions to grow your accounts, with compensation tied to the revenue your book generates. You'll own the full sales cycle for every expansion opportunity in your book, and work alongside our Client Partnership Executives (CPEs), who lead new logo pursuits, so the customer experiences one continuous relationship. You will partner closely with Solution Engineering (SE) to architect and price technical solutions, and with our Delivery Success Owners (DSOs) to ensure every handoff into delivery carries full context. In this role, you'll become a trusted strategic advisor to our customers while consistently converting deep client insight into new opportunities.

Who We Are

Prominence is a healthcare and life sciences technology and consulting firm dedicated to helping leading organizations do more with their data. With deep expertise across the full ecosystem — spanning providers, payers, and life sciences — we turn complex data into actionable insight.

We deliver a full spectrum of services, including advisory, analytics, optimization, and IT staffing. Our work helps organizations operate more efficiently, improve patient outcomes, and deliver measurable financial impact through smarter use of data. Recognized as a 2x Best in KLAS organization, we partner with more than 120 health systems and 40 life sciences organizations, including 7 of the top 10 U.S. News & World Report-ranked institutions.

Through our life sciences brands, Tegra Analytics and WLH Consulting & Learning Solutions, we extend these capabilities to pharmaceutical and biotech organizations — combining data, consulting, and learning to advance commercial excellence.

By connecting strategy, data, and execution, we help organizations translate data into clarity, strategy into action, and vision into measurable results. At our core, we are a people-first, values-driven organization that believes strong teams and trusted partnerships are what ultimately make healthcare and life sciences smarter.

Job Summary

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Pipeline Ownership:

  • Grow recognized revenue across your book of business by expanding Analytics and Epic Services work within each account
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of expansion and renewal opportunities, with disciplined CRM forecasting — accurate stage-gates, weighted pipeline, and close-date hygiene in Salesforce
  • Own the full sales cycle for expansion and partner sourced opportunities including discovery, solution shaping (with SE), proposal development, pricing, contract negotiation, up to close
  • Build a multi-year account management and growth plan for each named account, applying target segmentation and account segmentation methodology to prioritize where you invest time
  • Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Prominence's Analytics and Epic Services solutions, managing SOW creation and opportunity management in Salesforce
  • Monitor customer contracts and lead renewals to protect and grow net revenue retention

Account & Relationship Ownership:

  • Serve as the single, long-term owner of every named account relationship, partnering with the CPE as new logos come on board, so the customer feels one continuous relationship rather than a handoff
  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with executive stakeholders (Director/VP/C-level) across a blended portfolio spanning Tier 1 (Strategic), Tier 2 (Growth), and Tier 3 (Transactional) accounts
  • Set up and lead customer-facing Quarterly Business Reviews, including at least one onsite annually for Tier 1 Strategic accounts
  • Prioritize your time across your book based on each account's tier and growth potential
  • Maintain current relationship mapping for each account — decision makers, influencers, and champions — in shared CRM dashboards

Cross-Functional Partnership & Handoffs:

  • Partner with Solution Engineering (SE) on every expansion pursuit to scope, architect, and price technical solutions
  • Own the Sales to Implementation handoff to the Delivery Success Owner (DSO), ensuring delivery receives full account context and deal history rather than a cold handoff
  • Act as the accountable owner for strategic and relationship-related escalations, partnering with the DSO, who owns delivery-specific escalations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and Delivery to grow accounts and surface new opportunities
  • Provide structured feedback to CPE, SE, and leadership on what's resonating with customers, to sharpen offerings and messaging

Forecasting, Performance & Escalation Management:

  • Maintain accurate, current pipeline and forecast data as an input to company-wide revenue planning
  • Contribute to high KLAS rankings and secure strong customer references through exceptional relationship management and delivery outcomes
  • Serve as a point of escalation for strategic and relationship-critical issues, intervening when necessary
  • Maintain a pulse on all active projects within your portfolio to proactively identify and mitigate account risk

Requirements

Education, Training and Experience

  • 5+ years of revenue-accountable account management or sales experience, ideally growing existing enterprise accounts, with a documented history of meeting or exceeding revenue or expansion targets
  • Demonstrated ownership of a full sales cycle: discovery, solution development, proposal, pricing, negotiation, and contract close
  • Experience managing a multi-account portfolio or territory against a defined revenue target, ideally $10M+ in owned or influenced annual revenue
  • Experience selling to or serving healthcare provider organizations preferred; working knowledge of Epic's EHR ecosystem and healthcare data & analytics is strongly preferred
  • Existing relationships with health system IT, analytics, or executive leaders preferred
  • Experience partnering with pre-sales or solutions engineering resources to scope and price complex, multi-stakeholder technical engagements
  • Proven track record of managing executive relationships and driving measurable revenue growth through strategic account management
  • Rigorous CRM discipline — accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and stage-gate management in Salesforce or a comparable CRM
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to construct creative, commercially sound solutions to complex client challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport at the executive level
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and stakeholders across a blended portfolio

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Consultative: Leads with client strategy and insight rather than transactional selling; earns the right to propose solutions rather than pitching them.
  • Curious & Perceptive: Asks the second and third question, reads between the lines, and picks up on what customers aren't saying. Senses when something is off and brings the hustle to act on it before it becomes a problem.
  • Revenue-Driven & Accountable: Comfortable owning and being measured against a hard revenue number; treats forecast accuracy as a professional discipline, not an afterthought.
  • Professional: Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism by treating others with respect, keeping commitments, building trust within the team, working with integrity, and upholding organizational values (“Do Great Work and Move Mountains”).
  • Organized: Capable of managing multi-faceted work streams — pipeline, renewals, expansion pursuits, and delivery hand-offs — efficiently and in parallel.
  • Self-Motivated: Adept at managing personal schedules, meeting deadlines, and monitoring work quality independently against revenue goals.
  • Highly Adaptable: Quickly acclimates to new accounts, stakeholders, and deal contexts.
  • Creative: Approaches problems with a solution-oriented mindset, working collaboratively with SE to find novel, sellable solutions.
  • Communication: Effectively conveys clear and concise messages that resonate with the intended audience, both in written and verbal forms, including in high-stakes negotiations.
  • Proactive: Anticipates potential issues, addresses concerns before they escalate, and effectively raises them when necessary.
  • Team-Oriented: Partners seamlessly with CPE, SE, and DSO across every handoff, protecting continuity for the customer at each stage.

Physical and Medical Standards

Must be able to sit or stand at a computer and work independently, and to travel regularly.

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Must be able to sit or stand at a computer and work remotely and independently from a personal home office
  • Located near a major airport hub preferred for ease of travel
  • Ability to travel about once a month for onsite executive meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and industry conferences, particularly for Tier 1 Strategic accounts

Hours Worked

This is a Full Time, 40 hour per week position.
