Job Description

Become a part of Nielsen's Digital Account Management team and collaborate with innovative, disruptive media companies within one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing sectors in the media industry.
 
We are presently looking for an Account Executive to join our team.

Role: In this role, you will support the Nielsen Digital Client Account Management leads and play a key part in driving revenue growth and creating value. You’ll help identify new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing clients, cultivate new stakeholder connections, and coordinate with multiple teams across Nielsen. This position requires a team-oriented individual who is proactive, eager to share ideas, learn, and collaborate—an integral part of Nielsen’s company culture.
 
Responsibilities:
• Assist Account Leads in developing and executing sales strategies aimed at achieving revenue targets of $1-10M in new business annually.
• Support Account Leads in identifying potential clients, managing outreach, creating data-driven insights to drive discussions, and collaborating across Nielsen.
• Collaborate with Account Leads to develop and implement strategic prospecting plans in high-growth sectors that align with Nielsen’s strengths (e.g., Commerce & Retail Media, FAST distributors, Content Creator Studios).
• Provide actionable, data-driven insights to prospects and clients to help secure new business.
• Gain a deep understanding of Nielsen’s products and solutions, as well as how our data adds value to clients’ businesses.
• Learn and understand the inner workings of Nielsen’s offerings to deliver top-tier solutions to clients.
• Develop and deliver client presentations that address key business issues and demonstrate how Nielsen can provide value.
• Recommend innovative strategies for engaging both new and existing clients.
• Coordinate with multiple cross-functional teams across Nielsen.
• Advocate for clients’ needs internally and manage their requests, both tactical and strategic, to ensure value delivery and business growth.
• Handle sales administration, including managing the Salesforce pipeline and contract management.
• Contribute to the team’s knowledge by owning a specific industry sector (e.g., Retail Media) and sharing relevant strategy and industry news during team meetings or other communications.
• Collaborate with Account Leads to build a solid pipeline of qualified sales opportunities and convert them using consultative sales techniques.
• Work together with Account Leads to create and execute impactful Account Plans for strengthening Nielsen’s global relationships with top clients and prospects.
• Partner with Account Leads to identify Nielsen solutions that address key business challenges in specific sectors (e.g., creating a playbook for engaging Retail Media clients).
• Develop and deliver high-value, customer-facing communications that support scalable consultative selling (e.g., newsletters or client updates).
• Participate in team meetings and strategy sessions, sharing customer success stories and industry insights.

Qualifications:
1-2 years of professional experience.
Background in media, preferably from a media agency, media company, media measurement company, or Nielsen ELP (Emerging Leaders Program).
Passion for media and the industry.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Growth mindset with the ability to learn and implement strategic sales techniques.
Persistent and goal-oriented, with a proactive approach to achieving targets.
Open to learning and refining problem-solving approaches.
Collaborative and works well within a team.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
A desired career path leading to Sales as an Individual Contributor or Sales Leadership.

Travel: The candidate will be required to travel at least once quarterly for client and internal meetings in major metropolitan areas, primarily New York (if not based there), Los Angeles, and the San Francisco/Bay Area.
