ABOUT GENUINE FOODS

At Genuine Foods we create nourishing food environments at schools and workplaces through great-tasting and wholesome meals, made from genuine ingredients. We are a growing social enterprise that uses food to enhance health, productivity, and happiness. We believe that fresh, scratch-made food together with unparalleled service and meaningful enrichment programs can transform lives and build community. Food service management is what we do, but what we achieve together with our customers, our partners and our dedicated team goes beyond the plate.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Genuine Foods is looking for a K12 school nutrition expert to grow participation and revenue across our district and charter partners. This position requires 80% travel or more. You will spend most of your time on site, working with district leaders and our unit teams to launch new programs, lift participation, and get the most out of every meal program we run. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows school nutrition inside and out and loves turning that knowledge into results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grow participation and revenue in existing K12 accounts by identifying and launching program expansions such as breakfast in the classroom, second chance breakfast, afterschool snack and supper, reimbursable salad bars, summer meals, and a la carte.
  • Bring Genuine Foods' innovative models and concepts to life in schools, from menu and service model changes to student engagement and taste testing.
  • Partner with district food service directors, RDOs, and unit leads to build annual growth plans for each assigned account.
  • Use our meal tracking dashboards to spot participation gaps and act on them with site teams.
  • Support new account openings, helping stand up operations, programming, and student and family communications.
  • Make sure every growth initiative meets USDA meal pattern, Smart Snacks, and program compliance requirements.
  • Share wins, data, and stories that support renewals and new business.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of K12 school nutrition experience, ideally including district-level leadership or FSMC account management.
  • Deep working knowledge of NSLP, SBP, CEP, CACFP at-risk supper, SFSP and Seamless Summer Option, and state agency requirements.
  • Experience implementing and managing alternative program models.
  • A track record of growing average daily participation and program revenue, with numbers to show for it.
  • Comfort presenting to superintendents, school boards, and district leadership.
  • Strong data skills: you use participation and financial reports to make decisions.
  • SNA certification preferred; SNS credential a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 80% or more of the time.

Benefits and Perks:

  • Paid Time Off
  • Holiday pay
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Career growth opportunities

Genuine Values:

  • Trustworthiness: Integrity, transparency, reliability, consistency, and delivery excellence.
  • Personal Accountability: Ownership in solving problems, no excuses, learning from mistakes, and financial stewardship without sacrificing quality.
  • People First: Human-centered solutions, teamwork, hospitality, empathy, and cultural responsiveness.
  • Entrepreneurial: Adaptable, nimble, willing to go the extra mile, responsive, and encouraged to try new things.
  • Genuine: Commitment to real, tasty, scratch-cooked healthy food, authentic interactions, honesty, positivity, and professionalism.
