Own territory sales and pipeline development for mid-market opportunities through a two-tier channel. Since 1985, Digi International has been a pioneer in wireless communication, forging the future for connected devices and responding to the needs of the people and enterprises that use them. Before the Internet of Things was a thing, we built M2M and IoT devices, adapted to evolving network standards, and optimized data communications around the most advanced protocols and emerging technologies. From radio frequency modems to gateways, cellular routers, networking devices, embedded system-on-modules (SOM) and single-board computers (SBCs), Digi's solutions have continually grown to serve an extensive breadth of applications across the IoT landscape. Today, our IoT offerings include sensor-based solutions, a sophisticated platform for remotely monitoring device deployments of any size, anywhere, as well as professional design, implementation and certification teams to help you carry out your vision, no matter how large or small.

We are expanding our inside sales team with a Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to drive revenue growth across an assigned territory and strengthen our go-to-market execution. This is a sales-focused role built for someone who thrives on building pipeline, closing run-rate deals, and developing lasting relationships with customers and channel partners. The ideal candidate brings inside sales fundamentals — outreach discipline, deal velocity, and pipeline ownership — paired with enough customer success instinct to protect the base while growing it.

Position is Remote US (MUST be in the Continental US to be considered)

What You Will Do

Territory Sales & Pipeline Ownership

You will own the run-rate of your territory — identifying, qualifying, and closing mid-market opportunities through Digi's 2-tier channel. This includes managing the full sales cycle from lead to close, maintaining accurate opportunity data in NetSuite, and ensuring deals have clear next steps and current activity notes at all times.

Lead Follow-Up & New Business Development

You will respond to inbound and outbound leads within 72 business hours, qualify opportunities using defined criteria, and build early-stage pipeline through consistent outreach and research. You will partner with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to ensure leads are progressed appropriately and handed off or closed efficiently.

Field Sales Support & Deal Acceleration

You will support the RSM on larger opportunities by managing internal mechanics — generating quotes, coordinating with distributors and channel partners, and tracking deal progress. This frees the RSM to focus on enterprise accounts while you own the transactional motion.

Account Expansion & Installed Base Farming

You will actively mine the existing install base to identify upsell, cross-sell, and seat expansion opportunities. This includes coordinating with channel partners to ensure customers are engaged and aware of the full Digi solution set.

Renewal Support & Retention Awareness

You will support proactive renewal conversations within your territory — engaging customers ahead of contract expiration, flagging at-risk accounts, and partnering with the Customer Success team to ensure a seamless renewal experience. Pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy extend to the renewal book as well as new business.

Tools Proficiency

You will leverage NetSuite and other internal systems to manage opportunities, create quotes, and maintain high-quality customer data. Adoption of AI-powered tools to improve workflow efficiency and uncover insights is encouraged.

Who You Are and What You Bring

  • 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, business development, account management, or sales support — preferably in a technology or subscription-based business.
  • Proven ability to manage a territory, build pipeline, and close deals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working through a 2-tier channel model (distributor and reseller).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders with precision.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support teams.

Desired But Not Required

Proficiency with CRM systems (NetSuite experience strongly preferred).
