How We Work at Air
Benefits
Air is a Creative Ops System for creative teams. Our product automates the mindless tasks that creatives and marketers do every day to manage content and unlocks creativity through image recognition, automated versioning, and approval workflows. We launched in March 2021 and have raised +$70m from world-class venture capital groups including Avenir, Tiger Global, Headline Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, WndrCo, and Slack Ventures.
This role requires in-office attendance at least 3 days/week in New York City.
The Role
As a Scaled Account Manager at Air, you'll own a large book of business and serve as a strategic partner to your customers — educating them on new product lines and tiers, driving adoption, and identifying upsell opportunities that align with their needs. Your goal: ensure every customer realizes the full value of Air's evolving platform while growing revenue through smart, intentional account management.
This is a revenue-generating role that blends relationship building with real business impact. You'll carry a quota with variable compensation, directly tying your success to the company's growth.
We're looking for someone who is customer-obsessed, commercially minded, and energized by building relationships that drive results. You're resourceful, low-ego, and take full ownership of outcomes. You don't wait for permission — you find a way.
Requirements
You thrive in fast-moving environments where ownership matters. You're energetic, focused, and bring genuine determination to your work every day. Startup life means wearing multiple hats — and you see that as an opportunity, not a burden.
Experience
- 2+ years as an Account Manager or Account Executive in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue through expansion, renewals, and product adoption.
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota and key performance targets.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and influence decision-makers at every level.
- Effective storyteller — comfortable creating polished, customer-facing materials like onboarding guides, QBRs, and success plans.
- Data-driven approach to managing your book, tracking product usage, health scores, engagement, and retention to inform how you prioritize and act.
- High personal standards, pride in your work, and a desire to build something meaningful alongside a driven, collaborative team.
Revenue Growth & Retention: You own your number. By deeply understanding your accounts, identifying expansion opportunities, and driving adoption of new product lines and tiers, you consistently grow revenue while maintaining strong retention across your book.
Product Adoption & Upsell: You're a consultative seller who educates customers on the full value of Air's platform. You connect product capabilities to business outcomes, making upsells feel like solutions — not pitches.
Trusted Partnerships: You're not order-taking — you're advising. Customers see you as a strategic partner because you understand their business, bring proactive recommendations, and consistently deliver on what you commit to.
Customer Advocacy: Your best customers become your best pipeline. They refer peers, participate in case studies, and champion Air internally — because you've built real trust and delivered real results.
- Act like a driver: Take initiative and ownership without waiting to be told.
- Work in public: Share ideas openly, get feedback early, and collaborate across teams.
- Play to win: Aim high and bring creativity, adaptability, and focus to your work.
- Say the hard thing: Give and receive feedback with clarity and respect.
- Disagree and commit: Debate honestly, then align quickly to move forward together.
Why Air?
- Growth and Impact: Join a rapidly scaling company with a mission to transform the creative ops space. Your work will have a direct, tangible impact on [our ARR growth].
- Comprehensive Benefits: We offer competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with dependent coverage. You’ll also enjoy a generous work-from-home stipend, professional development reimbursement, and unlimited vacation days.
- Commitment to Diversity: We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and strive to create an inclusive culture that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and experiences.
- Competitive Compensation: The expected total compensation (OTE) for this position in New York City is between USD $100,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience.
At Air, we’re committed to building a world-class team and helping every individual reach their full potential. If you're passionate about solving big problems and growing with an innovative company, we’d love to meet you!
