Who You Are
TabaPay is currently hiring an Accountant to help support our rapidly growing organization. As a staff accountant, you’ll be responsible for our financial records and accounts and ensuring we are compliant. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and eager to have a direct impact.
The Staff Accountant will report to the Director of Finance.
Candidates must live near the New York City Metropolitan area and will be required to come into the office 2-3 days a week.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Direct and coordinate daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.
- Book accurate and timely accounting entries, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, financial regulations and internal procedures
- Manage expense reimbursements through our expense management system
- Manage corporate card transactions, ensuring adherence to company policy
- Document processes, organize internal files related to the Finance Department
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for reporting and auditing purposes
- Working with other team members on tax and government reporting (ie Federal and state tax returns and 1099K and 1099-NEC reporting)
- Provides daily supervision over Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable department,
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process, working closely with the Accounting Manager
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Bookkeeping experience with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a team and with customers/vendors
- Experience with Netsuite is a plus
- Experience in working with a PEO such as TriNet/Rippling is a plus
- Public audit experience is a plus (especially at a large or mid-size public accounting firm)
The base salary pay range for this position is $85,000-$115,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
