Welcome to Fi.
We’re a passionate team from Square, Google, Peloton, Uber, and more working to transform the dog-human relationship. Our mission? Develop cutting-edge technology to revolutionize what it means to be a dog parent.
The dog industry remains firmly stuck in the past and we are here to change that. Fi is leveraging our team's talent and expertise to improve the lives of the millions of dogs in the U.S. Real-time location tracking, activity, sleep and behavior monitoring – and that's just the beginning.
The most exciting aspect of our work? Bridging the communication gap between dogs and humans. Imagine a world where everyone knows how their dog feels in real time and how to keep their best friend in good shape. That's the future we're building at Fi.
If you're someone who thrives in innovative, collaborative work environments and feels strongly about helping dogs live longer, better lives, Fi could be the perfect fit. Join us in our pursuit of the “impossible,” or as we call it here “let me find a way,” to redefine the future of dog ownership together.
Fi is searching for an Accounting Intern!
Fi is looking for an Accounting Intern to take ownership of key financial workflows and support the backbone of our business operations. This role is a hands-on opportunity to learn by doing — from the ground floor of a fast-moving startup shaping the future of pet tech.
This isn’t your average internship — you’ll contribute to meaningful work, build real-world accounting skills, and gain exposure to the inner workings of a fast-paced startup. If you're detail-oriented, curious, and ready to learn by doing, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Process accounts payable transactions with accuracy and speed.
- Classify and code credit card and bank transactions with precision.
- Support employee reimbursement workflows — from classification to tracking and reconciliation. Assist with sales tax filings across jurisdictions — keep us compliant, sharp, and audit-ready.
- Prepare monthly customer invoices and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable (AR) balances to ensure timely collections.
- Respond to ad-hoc financial requests from our CX and Marketing teams — move fast, stay flexible, deliver clarity.
What You’ll Bring:
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail. Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workflows.
- Eager to learn, take initiative, and own your lane.
- Passionate about driving operational excellence and constantly seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and automation.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and unafraid to ask the right questions.
- Previous internship or project-based experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
