This is a full-time or part-time position working as an employee of Launch Finance, supporting one or more of our clients in an accounting manager role. Within this role, you will provide leadership over the client’s corporate accounting function. Although your responsibilities will vary depending on the size and complexity of the client, you will typically oversee general accounting activities with responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, and internal/external financial statements. You may also work cross-functionally supporting other client groups including payroll and HR, information technology, engineering, procurement and financial planning.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and account reconciliations
  • Manage payables, expense reports, and when applicable, invoicing, receivables and revenue recognition
  • Potentially prepare and process payroll and manage all compensation related journal entries
  • Manage cash, bank reconciliations and cash burn reporting
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP and FASB guidelines for the size and nature of the client’s business
  • Coordinate the proper accounting and payment of state, local, federal, sales and use tax with external tax professionals
  • As needed, function as audit liaison and manage audit coordination
  • When applicable, manage accounting staff
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial controls
  • Provide support to all levels of executive and operational personnel regarding day to day business, accounting and financial issues.

Requirements
  • The ideal candidate for this job would be an intelligent self-starter with strong analytical skills
  • Minimum of 8 years combined public accounting and/or industry experience, at least 3 years in management level capacity
  • Detail orientation with overall business understanding and perspective
  • Expertise in current technical accounting issues
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited University, Accounting preferred. CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Startup or Technology company experience is preferred

Salary Range

Launch Finance offers a competitive base plus bonus. Employees who work 40-plus hours per week are eligible to participate in the Productivity Bonus Program. The salary range base compensation for the Senior Accountant role is $110,000 to $145,000.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
