Compensation Range: $115,000 to $130,000 base, plus bonus and equity

What You’ll Do: 

Huntress is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team and to support our rapid growth. You’ll be responsible for managing and improving our month-end close process, providing input and insights on best practices to shape the department, collaborating with other departments regarding accounting needs, and developing two direct reports. This role requires critical thinking, strong organizational and communication skills, a thorough understanding of GAAP, and a relentless drive for process improvement. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses
  • Lead the accounting process for capitalized software and capitalized commissions, including calculating monthly amounts 
  • Develop and mentor two direct reports
  • Lead the annual audit and tax document request process
  • Perform technical accounting research and document findings
  • Review accounts payable transactions and support the expense management process
  • Provide guidance on financial policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed
  • Act as a liaison between the accounting department and other key stakeholders

What You Bring To The Team:   

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years of management experience
  • Familiarity with technical accounting concepts, preferably ASC 350-40 and ASC 606
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, processes, regulations, and financial reporting
  • Prior experience in a SaaS or enterprise software company is preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
  • Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A high attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and a dynamic business environment
