Oversee the accounts payable team, functions, and processes within the accounting department. Collaborate with project and accounting staff, generate financial reports, analyze data, support accounts payable activities, and assist with special projects. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and workload-management skills, with initial in-person training followed by a potential hybrid schedule.
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to work in our fast-paced Accounting Department in our Rochester, NY office. Training for the position will require in-person attendance but once completed a hybrid schedule can be established.
Duties:
- Overseeing accounts payable team, functions, and processes
- Collaborating with project staff and the accounting team.
- Provide financial guidance by generating reports and analyzing data as needed, and assist in the accounts payable processes.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Requirements
- Five years of accounting or accounts payable experience, plus prior supervisory background.
- Experience working in professional services industry a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required. The selected candidate must be able to manage their own workload to efficiently complete their tasks by assigned deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with all levels of the organization and with external vendors.
