What Will You Do?

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will work on a cross functional team and play a crucial role in the sales invoicing process.  The role is responsible for invoicing, providing accounting support throughout Zero Zone and working to promote continuous improvement throughout the quote to cash receipt process.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Review and process sales invoices and related credit memos, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues such as errors, discrepancies or disputes.
• Generate accounts receivable adjustments as needed.
• Communicate cross functionally with customers and other departments to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain accurate and complete billing records and reports.
• Perform reporting activities according to specific deadlines such as sales/invoice data monthly metrics and customer required reporting.
• Assist with Audit inquires as needed.
• Provide cross training support to accounts receivable team.
• Identify opportunities for improving business processes, enhancing revenue and reducing costs.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements for Effective Performance:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school
• 6 months- 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Ability to accurately enter data
• Working knowledge of excel and word.

Skills/Abilities/Specifications:

• Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
• Ability to write simple correspondence. 
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to vendors, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area. 
• Ability to apply simple concepts of basic algebra.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

• Maintain a positive work attitude. Zero Zone expects all employees to behave and communicate in a manner which will facilitate good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisor.
• Safety toe shoes and safety glasses are required while in production areas.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the office and production areas; have use of hands and fingers to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
