About the Role:

The insurance Actuarial Group of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Group, Ltd. is currently recruiting for an Actuary, Cat Pricing role to provide both traditional and technical support to Everest’s Primary Casualty business.  This a hybrid position based out of our Warren, New York City, Stamford or Philadelphia offices.  In addition to having strong technical capabilities, the ideal candidate will be high-energy, with a strong desire to learn and develop, and be attracted to the opportunity to develop new tools & capabilities within a rapidly expanding business.

Key Responsibilities 

CAT Pricing Strategy & Ownership 

• Develop and execute catastrophe (CAT) pricing strategy across key perils (e.g., hurricane, earthquake, wildfire, flood) for specific global geographies. 

• Implement the “next generation” pricing framework incorporating model outputs, climate insights, and portfolio considerations.  

• Ensure pricing reflects risk-adjusted returns, market conditions, and underwriting objectives. 

Analytics & Modeling Integration 

• Translate catastrophe model outputs (e.g., RMS, AIR and others) into actionable pricing metrics and underwriting guidance.  

• Develop CAT pricing loads, technical pricing assumptions, and pricing segmentation. 

• Drive enhancements in data for risk rating, modeling techniques, and pricing tools. 

Portfolio & Risk Management 

• Monitor CAT accumulation and portfolio risk. 

• Analyze rate adequacy, profitability, and CAT return metrics. 

• Support portfolio optimization decisions with pro formats based on limits, attachment points, deductibles, and sublimit changes. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• 5+ years of actuarial experience in property pricing. 

• Expertise in catastrophe modeling platforms (e.g., RMS, AIR) and CAT risk concepts.  

• Proven experience integrating CAT modeling into pricing and portfolio decisions. 

• Advanced proficiency in analytics tools (SQL, Python/R preferred).  

Key Skills & Competencies 

• Ability to translate analytics into business action.  

• Strong communication skills—able to convey complex CAT/pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.  

The base salary range for this position is $119,000 - $150,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
