POSITION SUMMARY 

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Global Tax Office located in the NYC Headquarters. This position supports multiple Tax Professionals and will perform assigned projects and tasks using established procedures. 

 

This position will be on a Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the NYC office.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist team members with the preparation of tax forms and returns; this includes obtaining signatures for approval and distributing forms appropriately  

  • Copy, scan, and bind tax returns 

  • Create and organize certified mailings 

  • Prepare check requests as needed  

  • Sort/distribute incoming mail, publications, and other correspondence 

  • Set up and maintain physical and electronic files/records that may contain confidential information  

  • Request EIN numbers upon request  

  • Update subsidiary and officer listings 

  • Arrange and schedule meetings; reserve conference rooms and cater lunches  

  • Make travel and lodging arrangements 

  • Process expense reports using Concur in accordance with established policy guidelines 

  • Organize office supply orders 

  • Collaborate with administrative team on miscellaneous projects 

  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned 

  • Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION 

Your qualifications and experience should include: 

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred 

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years administrative experience in a large corporation 

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; this includes Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Highly organized and detail oriented 

  • Previous experience supporting an accounting, tax, or finance group is highly desired 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, open office environment  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating with all levels of management 

  • Demonstrated team player  

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
