About the Company

There are 17 million Americans who own rental property. Most don't want to be landlords anymore, but selling isn't a good option. Why? You'd lose income and appreciation, trigger tax liabilities, kick out your tenants, have to fix up the house – the list goes on! Flock is here to help.

Flock's mission is to provide every retiring landlord with the most cost-efficient and seamless exit. Our first product is a tech-enabled 721 Exchange for residential landlords. Owners contribute properties into our professionally managed Fund, in exchange for passive equity ownership. It's a direct 721 Exchange model designed for everyday owners who want access to continued cashflows, liquidity, and diversification without triggering capital gains, disturbing tenants, or dealing with disposition friction. We're growing fast and are looking for smart, entrepreneurial hustlers who want to help build something category-defining.

We're backed by top tier investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Primary Ventures, Renegade Partners, SUSA Ventures, 1Sharpe Ventures, and leaders from Invitation Homes and Opendoor.

About the Role

We're hiring an Advisor Consultant to build Flock's advisor channel. If you've spent 1–4 years as an internal wholesaler or internal sales consultant at an alternative investment sponsor, you know exactly what this is. But our product is different: a direct 721 exchange into a diversified residential portfolio is a story most RIAs haven't heard. You won't be the fourth DST wholesaler to call this week.

Your job is to own top-of-funnel outreach to Registered Investment Advisors whose clients own appreciated rental real estate. This is a high-activity, high-discipline role, where you’ll execute dozens of outbound touches per day, qualify genuine interest, and convert it into scheduled meetings with our Partnerships team. Success is measured by meetings booked and held each week, and over time, advisor relationships that mature into platform onboarding and client referrals.

What You'll Do
  • Execute systematic outreach: Run 40–60 touches per day (calls, emails, LinkedIn) against a targeted list of RIAs, maintaining a track record of activity discipline and rigor.
  • Deliver a credible first conversation: Explain what Flock's product is, which clients it fits, and why advisors are adding it to their toolkit—without a script and with the authenticity that comes from understanding tax-deferred real estate strategies.
  • Qualify and book: Identify which advisors are genuine prospects, disqualify fast, and lock in qualified meetings with our Partnerships team.
  • Own meeting logistics: Confirmations, reminders, reschedules, pre-meeting briefing notes—every meeting occurs because you made it happen.
  • Maintain pipeline integrity: Keep your Salesforce hygiene tight so the team has a real-time picture of what's working and what isn't.
  • Feed field intelligence back to the team: Surface objections you're hearing, competitive products advisors mention, gaps in your collateral. The feedback loop from you to product/marketing is tight—changes happen in days, not quarters.
About You
  • 1–4 years of high-activity financial services sales, with direct experience calling financial advisors. You've succeeded as an internal wholesaler, internal sales consultant, regional internal consultant, or equivalent. You know your daily touch volume and exactly where you’re tracking to quota.
  • Grit and activity discipline: You're comfortable with—and energized by—high-volume outbound and the adversity that comes with it. You don't view rejection as a barrier; you view it as feedback.
  • Advisor EQ: You're credible on the phone with sophisticated counterparties. You listen more than you pitch. You understand that RIAs buy consultatively and do real due diligence.
  • Organized and process-driven: You run your book like a system, not a scramble. Salesforce hygiene, follow-up discipline, and pipeline discipline are table stakes for you.
  • CRM Fluency. You’ve leveraged a CRM like Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar as more than a contact book.
  • Bonus points: Experience at an alternative investment sponsor (DST, non-traded REIT, interval fund, QOZ, private placement, or alts platform). Specific RIA-channel experience. Ability to explain tax-advantaged real estate structures conversationally.

Even if you don't meet 100% of the qualifications, we recommend applying to the role!

Location: New York, NY

Compensation: $110-140k OTE, plus equity and benefits (medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and unlimited PTO).
