About Us:

Blockworks is an information platform that sits at the center of the crypto industry. We transform raw, complex data and facts into actionable research, trusted alpha-driven insights, and world-class events. The result is transparency and confidence. We enable investors, operators, and institutions to see past the noise, make better decisions, and drive the industry forward.

Who You Are:

You're a crypto native and have an innate curiosity that drives you to dive deep into crypto protocols with a special passion for Solana and its ecosystem. You can explain the trade-offs and competitive advantages of any blockchain or application without having to think twice. You consider yourself a natural talent for discerning signals from noise and translating your mental models into written insights that can drive decision-making.

You're always open to hearing other opinions, collaborating with a team, and learning alongside others. You're humble yet confident and have no problem with leaving your ego at the door.

What You’ll Do:

As an Advisory Research Analyst focused on the Solana ecosystem, you'll publish deep-dive research and investment memos for consumption by institutional capital allocators and the broader public on a variety of topics, including Solana infrastructure upgrades and their impact from an investment perspective, incumbent and rising dApps, Solana institutional adoption, and more. You need to have a pulse on the Solana ecosystem day-in and day-out, while understanding its onchain economy relative to the wider industry .

Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:

  • Author industry-leading research reports: You’ll conduct deep research and short-form investment memos that provide investable insights to readers. You’ll be receptive to topic selection as designated by others on the team. You’ll be the boots on the ground, reaching out to crypto founders and investors, always searching for what’s next.

  • Stay informed on all things Solana and the industry: You’ll have your finger on the pulse of the market to deliver timely updates to your teammates and readers. You’re constantly reading and consuming information, and updating your worldview based on new information.

  • Tell the world: You’ll professionally communicate with our audience through X, Telegram and other mediums about the state of the Solana ecosystem and where it is moving.

  • Wear many hats: You’ll contribute to many projects, and adapt to the needs of a flexible team at a growing organization.

Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.

What You’ve Done Before:

You've got at least two years of experience in crypto, traditional finance, consulting, or data analytics and want to grow your impact. You bring a passion for crypto, including a willingness to research new topics and change your opinions along the way. You're thrilled at the opportunity to regularly work with data and derive some of your best conclusions from it.

You come with domain expertise about Solana and its ecosystem, especially in the context of the competitive landscape, and can't wait to share your learnings. You enjoy writing long-form research about complex narratives and ideas in a way that is clear, cohesive, accurate, and can be understood by a general audience. You're able to swiftly comprehend complex topics and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

It’d Be Great If You’ve Done This:

Experience and demonstrated success in data visualization skills, especially using SQL, R, or Python, will move you to the top of the list. If you have any experience in financial modeling & valuation, we'd love to hear about that, too. Lastly, we'd love to have someone that is in the onchain trenches.

Salary, Benefits, & How We Work:

This is a full time exempt position with an expected salary of $120,000/year.

Benefits:

Remote-First:

We're a remote-first organization with an office in NYC for you to utilize as you please.

100% Medical Coverage for You:

Close to fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you, and a significant portion covered for your dependents.

Flexible PTO:

We have a flexible paid time off policy that doesn't limit the number of vacation days you can take.

Parental Leave:

At Blockworks, all team members are eligible for 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave.

Hardware Stipend:

Every team member has a stipend to use to purchase the tools and technology that help them be their most productive.
