BAE Systems in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking an energetic College Intern to join the Engineering Support Services (ESS) project providing critical systems engineering, integration, and testing support for the United States Navy's AEGIS Weapon System. AEGIS is the premiere computer suite for detecting & tracking, directing sensors, and putting weapons on target! The candidate will join the Systems Engineering Task to support a team of engineers, technologists, Advanced Technology programmers, and veterans working to perfect a complex computer system vital to the Navy and their partners. As part of our team, the candidate will learn the processes for development, integration, and testing of the Navy's AEGIS Combat System. In order to be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in a 2 or 4-year institution.

Full-Time Salary Range: $57200 - $79537
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Candidate must currently be enrolled in a 2 or 4-year institution.
- Necessary skills include excellent communication skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.) experience.
- To qualify for the Technical Intern 4 position, the candidate must have completed at least 4 years at an accredited college or university. If you have completed 3 years, please apply to the Technical Intern 3 position. If you have completed 2 years, please apply to the Technical Intern 2 position. For all others, please apply to the Technical Intern 1 position.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience working with computer programs, coding, testing, and working with requirements-based design.
- Jira, Cameo System Modeler, PowerBI experience is a bonus
- Knowledge of Programming Languages like Python, Java, C++
- There are many customer-focused aspects of this work, so prior customer-facing experience (i.e. sales/service jobs) is a plus!
