About the role Responsible for developing and building on Sulzer’s growth into aeroderivative gas turbine marketplace on the legacy Rolls Royce gas turbine fleets (Avon, Allison/501K) and associated Power Turbines, with a focus on power generation, pipelines, LNG, data centers, and hydrocarbon processing facilities. Within these markets and specific to this equipment, all applicable product lines for Sulzer Turbo Services Houston to include; field services, shop services, new and refurbished part sales, lease of equipment, and engine replacements will be pursued. Specialist will be responsible for working with current Sulzer customers and finding and developing new business and opportunities. Specialist will be expected to travel, when necessary, to meet or exceed developed sales targets, manage a funnel in Sulzer CRM system (Salesforce), review RFQs and support proposal development, and be able to articulate larger projects to senior management.Responsibilities
- Will have an annual order intake budget developed by employee’s forecast and management’s input.
- Review / understand technical documents (RFQ’s, technical specifications, operational work scopes, budgets, etc…) to support the structure and creation of commercial proposals.
- Specific end user/customers will be defined and agreed upon
- Review completed AD’s to ensure for accuracy / completeness to support operations
- Convert operational information (scopes / budgets) to commercial proposal format per standard practices / formats or as requested from customer
- Provide / coordinate technical support to general sales organization in overall quotation process
- Pricing recommendations – review / understand financial information in order to provide pricing recommendations and justification.
- Review and understand workscope costs / budgets (labor, materials)
- Review operational trends and performance (scope / cost deltas)
- Review customer historical data / trends (scopes / pricing)
- Understand and account for market / competitive data (market price, competitive bid, competition, etc…)
- Review and hold records for successful and unsuccessful Sulzer GT opportunities based on the opportunity type and turbine model
- Provide cost / price analysis information for proposals as needed (i.e. margin sheets)
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Previous experience and/or technical proficiency in the turbo machinery industry to include knowledge of aero-derivative turbomachinery repair (steam and gas turbines, centrifugal, axial and process screw compressors, expanders, and other associated high-speed rotating equipment such as generators, pumps, gearboxes etc.)
- Proficient use of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Time management skills
- Candidate must be a team player at all times and be prepared to support the goals of all of Sulzer RES
