Affiliate Marketing Director

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Affiliate Marketing Director to join our growing team at Envision Horizons in 2025. In this role, you will be responsible for launching and scaling Envision Horizons' Amazon Affiliate Marketing Division. You will develop and execute a strategic roadmap, establish high-value publisher partnerships, and build a team to manage affiliate programs for our clients.

This role requires a mix of strategic vision, deep knowledge of affiliate marketing (particularly within Amazon's ecosystem), strong negotiation skills, and hands-on execution. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure our affiliate programs drive measurable sales and ROI.

Salary: With a competitive base salary ranging from $150k to $180k plus performance-based commission.

What You’ll Do:

• Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
  • Develop and execute the business strategy for Envision Horizons’ Amazon Affiliate Marketing Division, aligning with overall company goals.
  • Identify and secure partnerships with top-tier publishers (e.g., Hearst, Condé Nast, Dotdash Meredith) to negotiate preferred rates and drive premium placements.
  • Oversee the licensing and integration of affiliate platforms like Levanta to expand reach and manage relationships with smaller affiliate groups.
  • Define and implement engagement models, including "always-on" placements and event-based packages for key tentpole events (Prime Day, holiday campaigns, etc.).
  • Build and refine the division’s pricing structure, balancing management fees and performance-based commissions.
• Operational Execution & Team Management:
  • Lead the Affiliate Marketing team, including Affiliate Managers and an Affiliate Business Manager, to ensure successful execution of campaigns.
  • Work closely with the VP of Operations to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), contracts, and legal frameworks that comply with FTC regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (account managers, media, and analytics) to align affiliate campaigns with broader Amazon media strategies.
  • Optimize and scale reporting tools, leveraging Amazon’s creator connections initially and working toward developing proprietary reporting capabilities with Amazon and publishing partners.
• Performance Optimization & Growth:
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for client campaigns, ensuring maximum ROI and incremental revenue growth.
  • Continuously analyze performance metrics to optimize placements, conversion rates, and commission structures.
  • Develop case studies and success stories to drive client adoption, targeting 50% adoption within our portfolio by 2026.
  • Stay at the forefront of affiliate marketing trends, Amazon policies, and digital commerce innovations to ensure Envision Horizons maintains a competitive edge.

What You Bring:

• 8+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, digital media, or performance marketing, with a strong understanding of the Amazon ecosystem.
• Proven track record of securing and managing publisher partnerships, negotiating preferred rates, and executing successful affiliate campaigns.
• Experience managing Amazon Associates, Amazon Creator Connections, or other retail media affiliate programs is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure, report, and optimize affiliate-driven sales performance.
• Hands-on experience with affiliate platforms (e.g., Levanta, Skimlinks, Partnerize) and tracking/reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and scale a high-performing team.
• Strong understanding of FTC compliance and legal considerations related to affiliate marketing.
