About the Role

As an Agent Software Engineer, you’ll design and build intelligent software agents that automate clinical and operational workflows. These agents help clinicians focus on care, reduce administrative burden, and improve patient outcomes. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, automation, and healthcare delivery to craft systems that are safe, reliable, and impactful. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and enjoys solving large and complex problems.

In this role, you will:

• Develop intelligent agent systems to automate clinical and operational workflows (e.g., scheduling, documentation, compliance).
• Build scalable backend services and APIs that integrate with EHRs, licensing systems, insurance platforms, and internal tools.
• Collaborate with product, clinical, and operations teams to translate real-world needs into elegant technical solutions.
• Implement monitoring, testing, and quality assurance to ensure agents behave safely and predictably.
• Continuously refine agent performance using data, feedback loops, and iterative experimentation.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices as the company grows.

Qualifications and skills

• 3+ years of full-stack experience with a strength in backend systems (Python/TypeScript, Postgres, APIs/SDKs) and are comfortable jumping to frontend when needed.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, automation tools, or AI-driven systems (LLM experience is a plus).
• Have shipped 0→1 products in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly in writing: PR descriptions, docs, and Slack updates keep the team in sync.
• Enjoy building new tools, products spotting friction, and automating mundane tasks.
• Care about usability for non-technical users (our patients and advocates).
