The Agriculture Sales Department at Marex supports the firm’s capital markets activities by executing listed derivatives trades across agricultural futures and options markets for a broad client base. The department focuses on client trade execution while collaborating across the firm to deliver integrated coverage, particularly alongside metals and energy teams. This department not only drives execution‑led revenue but also establishes standards for client coverage, market insight, and cross‑business collaboration, reinforcing Marex’s commercial focus and global market presence.

Purpose of Role

The Agriculture Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting the Agriculture sales effort by expanding client coverage and promoting Marex’s execution capabilities across agricultural derivatives markets. This role will focus on proactive client outreach, relationship development, and collaboration with internal teams to identify trading opportunities with both new and existing clients.

In today’s fast‑paced and competitive derivatives markets, consistent client engagement and strong market awareness are essential to driving execution activity. By combining outbound networking with coordination across internal partners, the Agriculture Team supports growth in trading activity across commercial, institutional, and hedge fund clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Support client acquisition and market coverage efforts through targeted outreach and professional networking activities.
  • Identify and engage portfolio managers, traders, and commercial participants, supporting expansion across institutional and major commercial client segments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners, including Prime Brokerage, Marex Solutions, and other desks, to uncover execution opportunities within existing relationships.
  • Support the distribution of fundamental and technical research, market color, and reports, helping drive client engagement and trading activity.
  • Work closely with senior team members, supporting regional growth initiatives and learning established approaches to client development within the Agriculture business.
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments and industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges and regulatory bodies.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field required.
