We're profitable, growing fast (2x'd revenue in our most recent month), and doing it with a lean team that punches well above its weight. We own the full lifecycle from strategy through production deployment.
Our view is that AI has fundamentally changed what one great engineer with business judgment can accomplish. We're built around that. Rather than staffing large teams, we hire a small number of exceptional people, give them real ownership over client engagements, and pay them based on outcomes and speed. Compensation is uncapped and tied directly to the profit generated on the work you lead — every engagement has a P&L, and the people who do the work share in the upside. Quarterly, in cash, fully transparent.
The RoleThis is a founding hire. Equal parts strategy and engineering. You'll be in the room with executive teams deciding where to deploy AI, then leading the build.
On the strategy side, you will:
Lead AI discovery engagements with C-suite and operating partners at PE portfolio companies
Identify the highest-ROI automation and intelligence opportunities across operations, revenue cycle, and customer experience
Translate business problems into technical architectures and build/buy/partner recommendations
Present findings and roadmaps to executive stakeholders who care about EBITDA impact
On the engineering side, you will:
Design and build AI systems end-to-end: LLM integrations, workflow automation, data pipelines, and custom tooling
Lead a growing technical team as we scale delivery capacity
Own production reliability and iterate based on real-world performance
Make pragmatic technology choices — the simplest thing that works
You'll start embedded on existing client engagements alongside the founding team. As you build a track record, you take on more: leading engagements independently, owning client relationships, building a team underneath you.
What We're Looking For2-7+ years in software engineering, ML/AI, or applied data science
Track record of shipping AI/ML systems to production, not just prototypes
Strong fundamentals in Python and modern AI tooling (LLMs, RAG, agents, orchestration frameworks)
Can talk to a CEO on Monday and write production code on Tuesday
Comfortable building process from scratch — this is a founding role with real ambiguity
Bonus: experience in healthcare, education, or professional services
Bonus: prior exposure to private equity, consulting, or B2B services
$200k+ base salary
% of gross profit on engagements you lead, paid quarterly in cash
Target total comp: $250-325k in year 1, $325-450k in year 2, $450-650k+ as you build a team
