AI Intern

We’re looking for an AI Intern who’s excited to explore, prototype, and implement AI-driven solutions that create cross-functional efficiencies across Button—from commercial and marketing, to finance, to legal, and beyond. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced team members across departments, gain exposure to practical AI applications in business, and directly impact the way we work.

This position will be based out of Button’s NYC Hub; in-person collaboration is preferred at least three days per week. 

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with teams across the company (engineering, product, sales, partner success, legal, finance, marketing, and more) to identify opportunities where AI can streamline workflows or unlock new capabilities.
  
• Prototype, test, and implement AI-powered tools, automations, and workflows using technologies like large language models (LLMs), generative AI APIs, and data analysis frameworks.
  
• Conceptualize, scope and support projects that bring efficiencies to operations—such as document review, contract analysis, financial modeling, or content generation.
  
• Evaluate the performance of AI tools, measure impact, and recommend improvements.
  
• Stay up to date with the evolving AI landscape and share insights with Button’s team; evangelize AI as the company’s “AI Ambassador.”
  
• Propose ideas that apply AI creatively to Button’s business challenges.
  
• Learn from and be mentored by experienced professionals across multiple disciplines, building both technical and business acumen.

You Might Be a Good Fit If

• You are in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  
• You’ve built projects or gained experience using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, and you’re comfortable experimenting with APIs and data.
  
• You’re curious about applying AI beyond engineering—solving problems in marketing, sales, finance, legal, or operations.
  
• You enjoy exploring how technology can remove friction, automate tasks, and unlock new insights.
  
• You’re self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities, and excited to take ownership of projects.
  
• You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with teammates who may not have a technical background.

• You are familiar with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar. 

• You’ve built or contributed to an AI-driven tool, chatbot, or automation project.

• You’re interested in startups, ecommerce, and/or mobile technology.
