About the team

The Enterprise Data & AI (EDAI) Team, led by the FIS Chief Data & AI Officer (CDAO), is focused on delivering cutting-edge Data, AI, and Machine Learning platforms and models. The group is organized into four engineering Towers: Data Ingestion, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning. These are supported by three enabling Towers: Strategy & Operations, Customer Success, and Data Ops / Compliance. Based between the US, UK, and India, the team is 250 strong and committed to delivering value for FIS through data and AI.

What you will be doing:

You will play a pivotal role in the success of the new enterprise Data and AI platform developed by the EDAI team. This platform, built with industry-leading technology and the highest security standards, will become the enterprise's new benchmark – allowing FIS to anonymize and commercialize data to drive value. As a member of the AI/ML Tower within the Enterprise Data & AI (EDAI) Team, you will be responsible for technical excellence and leadership in delivering industry leading solutions in AI/ML for the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build AI Agents that simplify and automate tedious and manual processes for our Banking customers.

• Create AI models that enhance predictions for risk and balance sheet management for our Banking and Capital Markets customers.

• Conduct research on AI/ML practices and liaise with research universities to ensure the solutions use the latest approaches from industry.

• Drive patterns from event-driven architecture and data applications and create AI intensive applications and APIs.

• Collaborate openly and effectively within diverse teams and with colleagues from other towers, especially Product Managers.

• Guide the deployment process to verify and monitor model performance, ultimately ensuring sustainability post-deployment.

• Achieve optimal model performance by refining algorithms, driving improved efficiency, accuracy, and generalization.

• Serve as technical leader in the AI/ML tower, establishing coding and AI life cycle management best practices.

What you bring:

• Recognized as an innovator in AI/ML discipline, serving as technical lead on large, complex projects and/or products.

• Experience working with Azure Stack.

• Commitment to impact on results and the ability to work well with others in diverse teams.

• Deep knowledge of Math, Statistics, and Algorithms.

• Understanding of software architecture and principles with strong experience in Python.

Added bonus if you have:

• Knowledge of FIS products and services a plus but not required

• Knowledge of the Financial Industry welcome.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $200,960.00 - $337,620.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
