About Tennr

Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist, your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often providers are overwhelmed with the painstakingly tedious work required to get paid by insurance companies. Powered by proprietary models, Tennr handles the complex paperwork that gets patients through the door and providers paid, helping operators get patients the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.

About the Role

Every team at Tennr uses AI and most of it is happening bottoms-up. What’s missing is someone who owns it from the top: setting the strategy, finding the highest-leverage use cases across the org, building the solutions, and making sure they actually stick.

That’s this role. Part PM, part platform builder, part change agent. You’ll sit at the intersection of product management, technical execution, and business operations. You’ll run discovery across every function, ship internal products that move real metrics, and build the enablement and governance scaffolding that makes AI a first-class operating capability inside Tennr.

This is a high-visibility role. You’ll work directly with the founders and report to the VP of Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the internal AI roadmap. Run quarterly planning, set priorities, and publish them across the org.

  • Run discovery across every function. Sit with each team, identify the highest-leverage use cases, prioritize by ROI and feasibility, and ship.

  • Build and deploy internal AI products: skills, plugins, agents, custom workflows, and integrations against Tennr’s own tools (Salesforce, Notion, Slack, Rippling, Linear).

  • Own the AI tool stack and budget. Handle vendor selection, pilots, contract negotiation, and consolidation of duplicative spend.

  • Measure and report on AI adoption and impact. Track time saved, output per head, and error rates. Publish a monthly AI scorecard to the executive team.

  • Run the enablement program: internal training cohorts, office hours, a maintained prompt library, and a skills library the whole company can use.

  • Set governance with the CTO and VP Legal covering data handling, model selection, security review, SOC 2 alignment, and PHI policy.

  • Partner with Engineering on builds that cross internal and customer-product lines, and with Finance on ROI methodology.

Qualifications

  • Background in product management, business operations, internal tools, or an early-stage AI company. 1-3 years of experience, though we care more about what you’ve built than how long you’ve been doing it.

  • Strong technical fluency. You can stand up a working product, workflow, or tool without waiting on Engineering.

  • You’ve shipped AI products or AI-powered operating processes at scale inside a high-growth company.

  • Experience running change management: rolling out a tool, process, or platform across a large org with measurable adoption on the other end.

  • Generalist comfort across commercial, operational, and technical contexts. You’re equally credible with the CFO and the IC engineer.

  • Deep curiosity about how a business actually works. You want to understand how every team operates, where the friction is, and what’s worth fixing.

  • Strong written communication. You can write a one-pager the executive team will read and actually use.

  • Bonus: healthcare or regulated-industry experience, prior platform PM role, or hands-on agentic AI build experience (LangChain, Anthropic SDK, OpenAI Assistants, Cursor, Glean, etc.).

Why Tennr?

  • Drive Impact: one of our company values is Cowboy, meaning you set the pace. You won’t just talk about things, you’ll get them done. And feel the impact.

  • Develop Operational Expertise: learn the inner workings of scaling systems, tools, and infrastructure.

  • Innovate with Purpose: we’re not just doing this for fun (although we do have a lot of fun). At Tennr, you’ll join a high-caliber team maniacally focused on reducing patient delays across the U.S. healthcare system.

  • Build Relationships: collaborate and connect with like-minded, driven individuals in our Hudson Square office 4 days/week.

  • Free lunch! Plus a pantry full of snacks.

Benefits

  • Beautiful new office at 345 Hudson Street

  • Unlimited PTO

  • 100% paid employee health benefit options

  • Employer funded 401(k) match

  • Competitive parental leave
