The team is looking for an ambitious hands-on software developer to work on an exciting strategic product to expand our Client Sales and Service Platform. Working with a distributed team, you will be part of an outstanding group of engineers setting and evolving the technology direction for our internal developer systems and SDLC.  

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be encouraged to bring your ideas forward to help craft technical solutions. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable communicating your ideas to inquisitive senior leaders. 

This position is for an AI Product Engineer within the Client Experience Platform team and will utilize industry-standard technologies, such as Python, Snowflake, Git, Azure DevOps, and more.  

More specifically, the role is in the team responsible for technology used by Chief Operating Officers, Chiefs of Staff, Relationship Managers, and Client Service Officers.  

These roles, like all roles in the financial services industry, will leverage AI in their daily workflows to enhance productivity and tackle complex challenges.  

Responsibilities include:  

  • Design and build next-generation AI products used by senior leaders and their teams 
  • Collaborate with the business to meet the evolving needs of our clients 
  • Operate as part of a global team in a multi-office, multi-country environment 
  • Refine business and product requirements into future-ready technical designs 
  • Apply validated quality software engineering practices through all phases of development  
  • Ensure resilience and stability through rigorous testing and monitoring 

Qualifications:  

  • B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject area with 4 - 7 years of proven experience  
  • Hands on experience deploying large and logically correct systems in production environments 
  • Expert understanding of programming languages in general 
  • Understanding of systems design and modeling (UML, c4model) 
  • Experience working across of the technical stack  
  • Experience working in Agile development teams 

Nice to have:  

  • Experience with agentic frameworks such as Crew.ai, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Swarm 
  • Expert practitioner of Python 3 
  • Full-stack capable 


 

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$132,500.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
