AI Solutions & Client Engagement Director

Location: Remote-first (NYC-based preferred)
Team: Growth & Partnerships

As Director of AI Solutions & Client Engagement at Addition, you'll lead our client growth and business development strategy, working directly with our CEO and management team to build our book of business. You'll own the complete client lifecycle, from identifying prospects and closing deals to nurturing long-term partnerships and expanding accounts.

This is a senior commercial role that requires equal parts business development prowess, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution. You'll be the bridge between our AI capabilities and client needs, partnering with tech, creative, and production teams to deliver transformative solutions. If you can sell complex technology, build C-suite relationships, and roll up your sleeves to write a killer proposal, we’re keen to meet!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify prospects, build pipeline, craft compelling AI + creative value props, and close new engagements.
  • Client Leadership: Own relationships from day one. Establish trust with senior stakeholders and position Addition as their strategic AI partner.
  • Account Growth: Partner with internal teams to ensure project success, identify upsell opportunities, and expand key accounts.
  • Commercial Ownership: Lead proposals, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and renewal strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with production, technology, and creative teams to shape client roadmaps and deliverables.
  • Thought Leadership in Practice: Bring AI and emerging tech insights to client conversations; help them see what's possible.
  • Hands-on Execution: Create decks, proposals, and strategic communications (we're a small team so everyone contributes).

Qualifications:

  • 8–12+ years in agency or consulting roles focused on digital solutions, strategy, and client engagement
  • Proven track record of winning new business and growing client relationships over time
  • Strong understanding of AI and technology (you don't code, but you speak the language)
  • Experience selling AI or emerging tech solutions to enterprise clients
  • Excellent communication skills: comfortable presenting to C-suite and senior executives
  • Commercially savvy with experience in pricing services and contract negotiations
  • Collaborative minded , you can work across strategy, technology, creative, and production teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments

The hiring range for this position is $175,000 to $200,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's applicable skills, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
