AI Solutions Consultant

Salary

Job Summary

The AI Solutions Consultant is a forward-deployed, non-development role responsible for partnering with business teams across AI2IO and its affiliated companies to identify, design, and implement practical solutions using the company’s standard AI platforms — including Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, the internal CORE AI platform, and other approved AI tools. This role serves as the embedded translator between business workflows and AI capabilities.

The Consultant spends significant time alongside business users — observing how work gets done today, identifying friction and repetitive patterns, and configuring AI-based solutions that fit the way teams actually operate. This role builds within existing platforms rather than writing software: assembling Claude Projects with curated knowledge sources and system prompts, configuring Microsoft 365 Copilot agents, designing prompt libraries for repeatable workflows, building Power Automate flows with Copilot assistance, and orchestrating multi-step solutions that combine the company’s standard AI tools.

This is a relationship-driven role. The Consultant earns trust by listening before recommending, ships small wins quickly to demonstrate value, and graduates business teams from one-off AI use into durable, governed, AI-enabled workflows that compound over time.

The Consultant works closely with the AI Enablement Program Manager to convert successful engagements into reusable patterns, training material, and adoption signals. They also serve as a key feedback channel back to AI platform owners — surfacing capability gaps, training needs, and governance issues observed in the field.

This role is operationally focused and execution-oriented. The Consultant receives general direction on priorities and engagement targets and is expected to independently manage their portfolio of business engagements.

Essential Functions

  • Embed with business teams across AI2IO and affiliated companies to observe workflows, elicit requirements, and identify high-value AI use cases
  • Design and build AI-based solutions within approved platforms, including Claude Projects, Microsoft 365 Copilot agents, and the internal CORE AI platform
  • Develop and maintain prompt libraries, system prompts, and structured workflows tailored to specific business processes and roles
  • Configure Power Automate flows, Copilot Studio agents, and other low-code components that extend AI capabilities into existing business systems
  • Conduct discovery sessions with business stakeholders to translate non-technical problem statements into actionable AI implementation plans
  • Pilot, iterate, and refine AI solutions in close partnership with the business owners who will operate them
  • Document delivered solutions with sufficient detail for handoff to end users and for replication by other consultants
  • Partner with the AI Enablement Program Manager to convert successful engagements into reusable patterns, case studies, and training material
  • Surface platform gaps, governance concerns, and feature requests to the Director of AI Enablement based on field observations
  • Maintain current, working knowledge of capability updates across all approved AI platforms

Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to elicit business requirements through active listening, observation, and structured discovery
  • Strong fluency with current consumer and enterprise AI platforms, including Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft 365 Copilot, with the ability to design effective prompts and multi-step AI workflows
  • Comfort configuring solutions within low-code and no-code platforms such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, SharePoint, and similar tools
  • Working understanding of API concepts, JSON, and structured data formats sufficient to read and reason about technical documentation (software development experience not required)
  • Ability to translate technical AI capabilities into clear, accessible language for non-technical business audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly across functional and seniority levels
  • Self-directed work style with the ability to manage a portfolio of concurrent business engagements
  • Bias toward shipping small, useful solutions quickly and iterating based on user feedback
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and disciplined documentation habits
  • Curiosity and a demonstrated track record of self-directed learning, particularly with emerging AI tools
  • Working familiarity with the Microsoft 365 platform (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) as both a user and an administrator-light contributor
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance personal productivity and quality of work output

Travel / Relocation Requirements

  • Up to 5%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states
  • Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Communications, or related discipline

PLUS

  • 5 years of experience in business analysis, technology consulting, process improvement, solutions engineering, or a comparable role
