Role Overview

We are looking for a Hebrew Language Specialist to support multilingual content and localization projects for an international organization. The role combines translation, proofreading, linguistic quality assurance, and content adaptation, with a strong focus on accuracy, cultural relevance, and natural Hebrew communication.

You will review and create content in both Hebrew and English, advise teams on terminology and language usage, and help ensure that all materials are clear, consistent, and appropriate for their intended audience.

CONTRACT: Contractor

COMMITMENT: Hourly - 40+ hours/week

LOCATION: Remote, US and CANADA

PROCESS: Application Form -> AI Interview -> Selection

HOURLY RATE: $10 - $30/h

Responsibilities

  • Translate and localize written materials between Hebrew and English.
  • Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency.
  • Adapt tone and style based on the target audience and project requirements.
  • Perform linguistic quality assurance across different content formats.
  • Provide guidance on Hebrew terminology, idioms, and cultural context.
  • Review content produced by other contributors and provide actionable feedback.
  • Maintain terminology lists, style guidelines, and language documentation.
  • Ensure content reflects the intended brand voice and local market expectations.
  • Support improvements to translation and localization workflows.

Requirements
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew.
  • Professional-level written and spoken English.
  • Previous experience in translation, localization, proofreading, or linguistic quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of Hebrew grammar, spelling, punctuation, and stylistic conventions.
  • Ability to write clear, natural, and audience-appropriate Hebrew content.
  • Strong understanding of Hebrew cultural references, idioms, and language trends.
