Job Summary
The Support Specialist serves as a primary service and strategic support partner for clients within the employee benefits stop-loss insurance space. This role is responsible for delivering a high level of customer service, supporting Account Executives, and ensuring accurate, timely, and proactive management of stop-loss benefit plans. The Support Specialist plays a critical role in client retention and day-to-day client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, both brokers and groups, providing exceptional customer service and timely submission of claims and reporting.
- Support Account Executives in managing client relationships and ongoing service needs.
- Manage the stop-loss work center queue.
- Work with the Wholesure Specialty Placement accounting team to:
- Ensure timely payment of premium for all clients.
- Ensure broker commissions are paid timely.
- Liaise with insurance carriers, vendors, and TPAs to ensure issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and claim and reporting tracking within agency management.
- Analyze data and provide insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve service processes and enhance the overall client experience.
- Build strong, long-term client, carrier, and TPA relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in stop loss insurance, claims administration, MGU, carrier, or TPA environment
- Working knowledge of specific and aggregate stop loss coverage and policy provisions
- Experience coordinating with TPAs, carriers, and broker partners
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with benefits administration systems, carrier portals, and CRM tools.
Pay Details:
The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
