SUMMARY 

We are seeking an experienced Alternatives Marketing professional to help drive fundraising and investor engagement across various institutional and private wealth channels for GCM Grosvenor.  

This unique role combines the core marketing functions of product & capabilities marketing, channel marketing, and custom solutions marketing. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional seeking exposure across alternative asset classes and investor types 

The ideal candidate has proven experience in financial services marketing and a solid investment acumen within private markets with the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives across investor channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Investor Marketing 

  • Support global fundraising initiatives by developing and maintaining institutional marketing materials in a variety of formats. 
  • Define requirements across the prospect-to-client lifecycle, ensuring client-facing teams are equipped with accurate and current collateral to support prospecting, onboarding, and ongoing engagement. 
  • Distill market trends and portfolio insights into differentiated content supporting investor communications and marketing campaigns. 
  • Partner with investment teams to create marketing initiatives by developing materials and content across all relevant formats and channels, ensuring alignment with firm messaging and commercial objectives. 

Content Strategy & Market Positioning 

  • Collaborate with investment leads and business development teams to establish go-to-market plans for investment strategies, ensuring consistent positioning and messaging across all investor-facing materials and channels. 
  • Develop comprehensive multi-year marketing plans that align with the firm's roadmap  
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to develop compelling visualizations and analytical frameworks that reinforce investment narratives and enhance marketing materials. 
  • Partner with Brand, Communications, Events, and Digital to bring investment content to life from thought leadership and event programming to digital assets and case studies. 

Campaign & Investor Engagement 

  • Plan and support multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned to commercial objectives and investor segments. 
  • Execute and measure investor engagement programs that deepen relationships and support fundraising across global client segments. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance 

  • Partner closely with business development, investment teams, compliance, and legal to ensure all marketing materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned with firm messaging. 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of marketing compliance principles and regulatory requirements governing investment communications. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 7–15 years of experience in client marketing or product marketing within an alternative asset manager or institutional investment firm. 
  • Experience in alternative investments is required; prior experience in private markets (private equity, private credit, real estate, or infrastructure) is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive multi-year marketing plans and go-to-market strategies for investment strategies and product launches. 
  • Strong communication and judgement skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior leaders in investment, compliance, and business development teams. 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting institutional fundraising efforts and developing sophisticated investor-facing marketing materials. 
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling capabilities — able to translate complex investment topics into clear, engaging, and visually compelling communications. 
  • Experience developing and executing investor engagement programs and market positioning content. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines. 
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint; familiarity with performance analytics and data visualization tools. 
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. 

Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's experience, skills, and qualifications for the role.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on factors such as individual, team, and company performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
