REQ14206 Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (Open)POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform periodic analysis of key business drivers, gather data and prepare presentation of executive reports, and assist in the annual planning and budgeting process

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participates in the annual planning and budgeting process

  • Responsible for executive reporting and maintain the upkeep in several aspects of the data warehouse system

  • Reviews and validates financial data, interpreting prevailing trends and preparing reports for management review

  • Creates in-depth financial reconciliations as requested by management

  • Prepares property level forecasts of key volume indicators and translating these forecasts into financial forecasts

  • Liaises with senior management and be able to explain complicated financial topics in an approachable manner

  • Assists in preparing daily and periodic trend reports

  • Prepare post event analysis on events and promotions

  • Analyses a variety of issues on an ad-hoc basis as requested by management

  • Audits departmental operating performance on a periodic basis versus budgetary, historical and industry benchmarks

  • Manages small to medium scope projects

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:Experience
  • At least two years of progressive work experience in financial or analytical roles

  • Preference is given to candidates with gaming or hospitality experience

Education
  • Must hold a degree from a major, accredited institution in the fields of finance/accounting, engineering, statistics, business administration, economics, business information system or mathematics

  • Post graduate degree in relevant subject or professional qualifications (CPA, CFA) is preferable

Skills / Competencies
  • Mature presentation style and feeling comfortable interacting with senior management

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset

  • Provide creative and innovative solutions to complex problems

  • Strong English language writing skills

  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications including near expert proficiency in MS Excel

  • Superior technical and programming skills preferable, specifically an understanding of VBA, SQL, Tableau, Python, SAS, Power BI are preferred
