Job Description
Manages finished goods inventory assortment, levels, and replenishment to ensure on time performance and fill rates across distribution network.
- Reviews stock-keeping units coverage profiles and takes corrective actions.
- Manages safety stocks and stock-keeping units selection process.
- Identifies potential capacity restrictions which impact goals and develop plans to alleviate restrictions.
- May manages medium and long term capacity tradeoffs with plants.
- Monitors customer and inventory trends, and recommends short term forecast adjustments.
- Assists with the adjustment of the inventory optimization plan to ensure maximization of gross margin - return on investment and minimize inventory carrying costs.
- Communicates decisions and supply impacts to all stakeholders in the planning process.
